S.Ali saw me today to test my eyes and what a lovely young man, he made a woman of age very happy commenting on my perfume. Also Charlene C.W you are a wonderful young lady you never rushed me and helped me pick my glasses and sun glasses, also saying I didn’t look my age and with me not wanting old lady glasses, I thought I might of been there until closing but you got other girls to come and give their opinions. Nothing was too much trouble Thank you both so much for all your help.
Being neurodiverse and having some pretty serious 'body autonomy issues' that stem from childhood, I needed some accommodating with the eye test. I didn't feel terribly well-listened to and was talked over a fair bit. I was, after some time, allowed to forgo the pre-screening but it was difficult to get that far. I was told I was 'refusing' the pre-screening rather than say 'declining' or 'not giving consent'. Words do matter, especially in times of anxiety. I was left feeling that I was 'being problematic', which is not a good feeling to have going on when already stressed about whether I'd be given the right care. When the lenses test was carried out, it was very clearly rushed. My right eye was 'settled on' despite me saying that the lenses were sadly not even close to providing clear enough vision. This was not acknowledged and the optician moved onto the right eye. At this moment, I was being messed around and so I got up and it would've been wrong to have a jeopardised test completed. When I went to Boots Opticians in Worksop the following week; they listened to the accommodations I needed and provided a very good level of care and consideration, and the eye test itself was done very well.
Friendly staff, unfortunately I started with headaches after wearing my glasses. I went to a different optician in Retford who re tested my eyes and checked my spectacles. They found that my previous eye test was correct but my lenses had been put into my glasses incorrectly. So this opticians corrected my lenses for free. No more headaches thankfully and I won't be returning to specsavers
A warm welcome, efficient analysis with time given to answer any queries in an unrushed yet concise manner. Always a pleasant reassuring experience .Thankyou
They tried to sell me glasses I did not need as I have eye infection.
Had my annual checkup. Very good service from all of the staff. Came away with some new specs for work so I'm happy.
Friendly staff and really easy to book an apt. Only issue I have is the price of the glasses. Much cheaper at some of the online stores.
Excellent service and great Customer care definitely 5 stars worthy
