What a joke of a place got new glasses from here had nothing but problems with them staff are about as much use a bloody chocolate fire gard the quality they pass on is very poor as no new glass I had in the past where u go to pick them up and the lenses fall out just shows very poor quality now I'm left with no glasses won't be going bk..... to answer your question about giving u the chance to take a look I have already done this on several occasions so think the best option would be is to have a full refund as I'm not wasting anymore time on u lot I went to a different opticians last Friday after being at longton and they took a look at the glasses and said that the quality of the glasses was very poor and should not of been past on to me and that specsavers in longton should take ownership of them as there poor quality ps your lucky I can give u 1 star as if it would let me put no stars that's what I would of given u
My partner and I visited specsavers Longton today Sunday 26th May 2024 as my partner wanted some new frames, he chose the ones he wanted and we went to the counter and explained he would like the frames with his distance prescription, we were told to take a seat as the other lady would be us shortly, we waited roughly 20 minutes. While we waited, we witnessed an elderly couple come in went to counter and the same lady who asked us to take seat, directed the couple to the young red haired male and said he will take care off you and with that the young red haired male walked off hunched over playing with his beard and the elderly couple had to chase him and ask for his help, he was obviously not interested in helping the couple and was clearly more interested in playing with his beard. By this point the music had stopped playing in the back ground and the blonde lady behind the counter was just standing around doing nothing rang upstairs and complained the music had stopped, what I don't understand is why she couldn't help my partner with his request, because she was doing nothing but stand behind the counter, then another young red haired female member came to the counter and stood there chatting and laughing with the other blonde female, it wasn't very busy in there, by this time we had had enough of waiting so I went to the counter asked how much longer had we got to wait and with that another lady appeared and asked us to take a seat she would deal with my partners request and the whole time she was talking to him she insisted on calling him chic which I found very unprofessional and so did my partner. Every member of staff were also very scrufferly dressed. I've had to unfortunately give a 1 star rating, but if I could've given you zero or minus rating believe me I would of.nnI myself am a customer of specsavers Lichfield, where the staff are friendly and very professional and always eager to help you with anything you require, there is no being told to take a seat and wait to be helped, they are also very smartly dressed and the Lichfield branch is actually smaller than longton, but is just as busy as longton at busier times.nnAfter this experience today, my partner has been a customer for the last 15 years and in future will visit/attend another visual retailer.nnNo doubt specsavers will ask me to contact them through Facebook, twitter or some other social media platform instead of giving me a contact number where I could air my grievances,nThis just goes to show how unprofessional the company has become over the past 15 years, as their service was 1st class and now I would class it as no personal service to customers whatsoever.
My experience was very good. Had some new glasses for reading very pleased with them .
Cannot fault Specsavers Longton at all! Steve Collier was thorough, straight on the job, explained everything including the anatomy of my eye, and had banter along the way which made the site test not just a ‘tick box’ exercise! Thanks Steve!!
My hubby came for a hearing test which was carried out very professionally, his hearing aids were fitted there and then and we are both very pleased with the results.
