Story

Special Days Cakes started out in Uddingston over 25 years ago (although owner and cake designer extraordinaire Michael Burns has been making cakes a lot longer than that: he began as a 14-year-old apprentice at Tunnocks) and the business has grown continually since then, thanks to Michael’s reputation for beautiful wedding and celebration cakes, mouth watering fillings, superb craftsmanship and first-class customer service. The new boutique-style store, at 432 Old Edinburgh Road in Uddingston, will house one of the UK’s largest displays of wedding cakes, so there’ll be no end of inspiration for brides-to-be in the quest for their tiers of joy. Got my wedding cake from here and the customer service from beginning to end was fantastic and the cake was amazing. All my requests were listened to and followed through with different fillings in each layer of the cake. I would not hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone else. 
You can go and try for yourself. The shop has cake tasting open events and is a well known and established business where quality and service is of a high standard. 
Thanks so much for my beautiful cake which was complemented on on both taste and design.

We ordered our wedding cake from special days. The taster was great everyone was so helpful and we got exactly what we wanted. We changed our mind in flavours after booking and this was no problem to them. The cake on the day was fantastic we were so happy with it & everyone commented how amazing it tasted. I would always recommend special days for cakes and would use them again x

Definitely the best in the business. So talented and kind.  Not only did they make our absolutely  brilliant and delicious wedding cake, they now make my wee girl’s birthday extra special each year with a cake made to her exact specification. The look on her wee face every year is priceless. Thank you Special Days.

Special Days supplied my niece's wedding cake in August. It looked amazing, the quality and various flavours of the different tiers were stunning. First class service from Michael and his team from the very first meeting with Alana and Paul through to having their beautiful cake delivered on their wedding day. Highly recommend if you're looking for the best for any event no matter how big or small...Special Days puts the "Special" into it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
