"Scotland's oldest bakery"
We began trading in 1820 and we're still owned and run by the Taylor family. Five generations on, Alexander Taylor of Waterside Street in the small historic market town of Strathaven in South Lanarkshire, still produces a fantastic range of Scottish and continental breads and baked goods. Our bakery is unique and unrivalled, and is well worth a visit.
We sell artisan breads and have a Cafe and Deli open 7 days a week. In addition, our Flour Store 'Pop-Up' Gallery holds occasional exhibitions, as advertised.
A range of our products are also available at the Lanarkshire Farmers Market held at Overton Farm in the Clyde Valley. Telephone orders can be placed via the bakery shop and collected from either the shop or the markets.
The Bakery Shop is open 8am-5pm Mon-Fri, and from 7am on Saturdays.
Our Cafe/Deli is open 8.30am-5pm Mon-Fri, and from 8am on Saturdays.
