My very first night in Cornwall ever, and I'm 64! Absolutely fantastic. We were very lucky as Southwinds campsite shut the next day so we were the only campervan on the site. The two ladies in reception were really lovely and very helpful. Facilities were really good, extremely clean. We only stayed one night on our way to Lands End, but the site was a great introduction to my first visit to Cornwall. We will return sometime
Such a lovely campsite with amazing views and clean modern facilities. I can’t be more thankful to the most helpful and kind lady who waited for me when I was stressed because I arrived late due to traffic. Honestly the most stress free lovely camping spot.
Friendly welcome and our pitch 133 on Lundy field was brilliant. Large and tucked in a corner. Yes further from facilities but private and quiet. Loos and showers clean. Big plus, the showers aren't on a timer tap! Great on site food and bar. Live music sometimes to.
This campsite has drastically gone down hill. I have been coming here with my family since I was born and I have always loved it. I recently tried booking, the payment went through however later received a phone call denying me access because of my age. Not because I was underage but because of the fact that I was classified as a young adult. To be honest I do feel like they are discriminating and stereotyping young adults as trouble makers. All I wanted to do was show my three female friends an area where I grew up. I feel as though they should clarify what counts as a young adult. Are they not allowing anyone in from the ages of 18-30 in because I would say they are young adults? And what counts as a group of young adults, feel as though this need to be clarified. Honestly if you are a young adult of any age you will be turned down, don't even try.
Great location and good pitches, staff are great and good shop, farm yard cafe great. Facilities need a big update, toilets and showers fine for a short stay.
Really nice campsite. Shower facilities were excellent. Only a 15 minute walk to polzeath. Would stay here again.
Liked this site alot we parked in a field near Hook up for the electric bit the view over Polzeth was amazing. Was about 15 mins stroll away down a public footpath from the beach. Nice tidy site good clean showers and toilets. Had a good bar / restaurant on site serving pizza and burgers etc.
The campsite is beautiful and the facilities spotless. Like so many local businesses, they are suffering from staff shortages so the café wasn’t open at all whilst we were there. This was a shame as food in the evening is pretty limited in Polzeath if you haven’t booked well in advance. We’d definitely recommend the site though and will be back.
Now the campsite itself is fine. Toilets are clean, showers also. All the facilities are there however the shop and the cafe are shut. I'm sure that will change as soon as they can get staff. The main issue for us was the proximity to Polzeath beach....or lack of it. 15 minute walk it says however that was not the case and the walk isn't easy. And then there's the walk back up again. We got a taxi up one night - £30!!!! My advice is the site needs to run a shuttle bus and charge a couple of quid especially while the site shop is shut. Other than that it's a nice place.
Absolutely beautiful clean tidy site. And want to thank the owner angie as she was so so helpful and polite. She solves problems very quickly and goes above and beyond for her customers. Will return for 100%.
