My family member was stuck in one of the parking lots in Southend-On-Sea and Phill from emergency helpline sorted it out for us in minutes, took our number down, gave us frequent updates and was overall extremely helpful! Thank you so much for your excellent service!! Brilliant
Their website specifically my account is extremely outdated and laggy. It seems as if it's a bunch of mini websites stacked together but have no connection to each other. Furthermore, last year they introduced a new council-tax and business rates management page, where it's a little bit less messed up than what it used to be but it uses such old technologies and is so painfully slow and unappealing. The planning portal is also extremely slow. Downloading planning documents is an utter nightmare, takes agess of tedious back and forth and waiting for files to download and also gets frozen in between. They could definitely use a UX person to improve the website appearance.
I have been trying to call & email payroll for schools for 1 1/2 months . Leaving messages and continuing to email!!!! ..... does anyone take responsibility or actually work in this department??
Absolutely awful service, attempting to contact the environmental health and safety department was virtually impossible. When calling the Southend Borough Council, you are made to wait in at least 45 minutes of being left on hold. Once you reach an actual person they then tell you how awful your situation is but there is nothing that can be done about it. After being told about a pneumatic drill that was creating 90 decibels within my flat as well as making the whole floor shake, they proceeded to do nothing and tell us to fill out some online form that would take at least 2 weeks to read by the council. Surely such issues when raised warrant a more serious response as the potential safety of an entire block of flats is at risk. On top of this, only 10% of the employees were in the offices as the other 90% are working from home, making it impossible to speak to a relevant employee.
I pay for my parking in southend monthly £8.50, so that I can park in any zone in a bay and not get a ticket, however, their parking wardens nearly gave me a ticket because it wasn’t showing up on their hand held device!! Why bother paying for parking monthly, when it doesn’t even work and you get tickets anyway!! I’ve left them a voicemail since they never answer their phone, SOUTHEND COUNCIL ARE SCAMMERS!!
Have rang 3 times over the course of the day trying to speak to adult social services and you are always caller no 4 never changes this no should be a priority as vulnerable people need help very poor and uncaring
As expected, COVID safe and nice and clean throughout. Staff are helpful but unfortunately due to current situation all they can do is direct you to someone or other, or a website or even a telephone number to call. However, some departments there are very helpful. Just as helpful as ever. Keep safe and look out for one another
This appalling administration run by Lib/Lab/Ind coalition is currently removing the traditional slab paving in my area of Leigh and replacing them with black tarmac. This cheap product looks disgusting and has a limited life before requiring continuous patching up making it look even worse. Because of the number of verges and trees in the area the tree roots very quickly damage the surface and cause dangerous uneven surface. It transpires that the LA are taking the slabs from Leigh a conservative voting area and storing them to use in the Westcliff conservations area.
MINUS ZERO STAR. WORST COUNCIL IN THE UNIVERSE. UNFORTUNATELY, FULL OF, USELESS, NOT HELPFUL, RACIST CREATURES WORKING AND GETTING WAGES, THEY DON'T DESERVE.
Lovely seafront with loads going on. Easy enough things to do all day just make sure you go back home afterward lol.
