Southcliffe is one of the most picturesque Lynton bed and breakfasts. Situated a few minutes walk from the village centre, the stunning Valley of Rocks and the famous Cliff Railway which links Lynton and Lynmouth.....a perfect base from which to explore Exmoor National Park.

Made to feel very welcome. Home made marmalade was amazing. Beautifully clean. Breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend staying here. The position is very good for exploring this beautiful part of Devon.

The breakfasts are highly recommended-for variety, quality and quantity. We had a balcony room which was spotlessly clean. It was a pleasure to find the entire guesthouse to be heated during our stay as it was chilly on some evenings and mornings. All in all highly recommended.

Best B&B I've ever stayed in. Owner cannot be any more helpful. Rooms are immaculate.

From the moment the door opens until you finally leave the owners make every guest feel special. They will always take time away from what they are doing to chat. I have had a break of 3 years since I last visited and in that time the rooms are stil up to the same standard as before. Although I didn't use it an 'honesty' bar is now in place with the addition of normal milk to use if guest's prefer it to UHT for the complimentary beverages. I also had the recently restarted evening meals and can say that every meal I had was to a high standard. Andy and Sue try to source all the food locally and the Nut Roast even for a non-vegetarian is well worth a try. You are also in one of the most beautiful parts of the country which is an added value. Andy and Sue will also give you great suggestions of places to visit taking into account your needs. Give Southcliffe a try and I guarantee you will not be disappointed and will join the guests who return year after year. PS Give the homemade Granola and Marmalade a try as well.
