Made a pilgrimage here because Clawhammer Supply recommended it. This is my favorite pub anywhere. Huge selection of cask ales, ciders, and draughts. Service is phenomenal. Pork sandwich is out of this world.Food: 5/5
Amazing atmosphere on Sunday evening. Friendly people, great live music, amazing vibe. I wish it were around the corner from me but we’ll be back, for the amazing ales, music and to try the pork bap. Thank you for being here!Service: 5/5
Hands down my favourite pub in London. Incredibly kept beers, friendly service, great crowd. Proper pub.Service: 5/5
A quiet midweek afternoon but a super place concentrating on ales and ciders from independent breweries. A bit ramshackled in a great way. A small courtyard garden at the back. Great friendly service and a pint of lager, way outnumbered by the cider and ale offerings! Funky music from the past in the background. A fun place to visit.Service: 5/5
Amazing vibes, super traditional decor. Great service and selection of independent drinks. The piano and saxophone on Wednesday is really cool and the records they play the rest of the time are great. I’m obsessed with coming back here. About £5 a pint but they have a pay per percentage system Food: 5/5
Has a really strong smell, kind of like the beer has gone off. I've often had a single drink there and felt unwell the next day, so I'm not sure the lines are cleaned properly. Not something I experience with other pubs. The garden can be pleasant but it's a courtyard setup, and when there are several smokers, the smoke lingers and can make it difficult to breathe if you're a non smoker. I sadly cannot recommend this pub for these reasons to anyone just visiting.
Great selection of delicious craft beers. I had the sour that they had on tap which was very pleasant. The place looks like our grandparents could have hung out here in the 1930s which I think adds to its charm.Food: 4/5
A real gem. Head there for the best selection of ales and the most delicious pork buns. Top class.Food: 5/5
Some of the finest cask ales from all the independent brewers in England can be found here from 3.4 abv to 6+ fine largers with a good range on the abv and some proper cask ciders from 4 abv to high 6+ abv. Great slow roasted pork baps too die for, pork pies this a great old pub. Fantastic staff good music good atmosphere and inexpensive. Well done.
Delightful pub with an excellent beer and cider selection. Ciders are along the back of the bar took me a moment to notice. We were here on Easter Monday afternoon and the staff were absolutely lovely. Atmosphere was friendly and the pork baps were delicious amazing bread and filling. The pub is dog friendly and kindly offered a couple of pork scraps to the pup with us. Would definitely return here another time.
