This airport has really changed over the years. Not the world's best but they certainly try their best. Decent number of staff. Good flight locations. Lovely place to fly out and into due to the location. Good restaurant and bar facilities inside. Toilets and decent size and clean. Decent number of seats in waiting areas. Great train connection just outside the airport. Car parking is somewhat pricey.

Nice airport for its size. When here we are so excited about going home to Ireland. Very easy to get to from the train station. Any staff we had contact with were very helpful.

Great little airport for short hall flights to Europe and domestic UK.  Car Parking and Train Station on mainline to London and Manchester are 30 second walk from terminal, has cafes and restaurant as well as a few shops for last minute pre flight supplies.

Can be busy at departure gates as its a tiny place in reality  but its clean and tidy and staff are very good.

An alright airport, I suppose, but has a number of issues:
There is no isolated way to move straight from your flight to the next connecting flight. While I can see that security could be an issue, a simple corridor moving straight from the baggage reclaim to the departure lounge would probably not provide anybody with an opportunity to acquire any prohibited items.
The departure boards often only show information regarding delays for a few seconds before switching back to the default "Relax and Shop" or "Please Wait" message. As someone who has taken five delayed flights from this airport, this is quite frustrating. 
The airport only gives you four hours of free WiFi. This is relatively little compared to other airports, such as Newcastle, which gives you 30 days of WiFi, and Jersey, which gives you an unlimited amount. This has proved a problem on flights that have been delayed for longer periods of time.
Parts of the departures lounge lack any nearby departures boards, with boards that could display departures being used instead to display adverts. This makes waiting for flights near some gates quite problematic, due to the fact that I am rather shortsighted.
Other than these four points, the airport is generally OK to be in.

It's a small local airport most flights here are domestic although there are international flights like to Paris CDG, Faro, Amsterdam, Dublin and more it has a Tech Express at the gates Costa and a WHSmith BTW there are only 9 gates
