The station is poorly designed for the volume of passengers it is expected to handle, resulting in persistent congestion and a frustrating experience during peak times. Staff interactions also tend to feel unprofessional and unnecessarily curt, falling below the standard typically experienced across the London Underground network.
Southall Station is clean, modern, and very convenient — especially with the Elizabeth Line connecting quickly to central London. Just outside the station, you’ll find a vibrant area known for its North Indian culture. The famous Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha is nearby, and the streets are full of shops offering authentic North Indian food, groceries, and delicious sweets. It truly feels like a little slice of Punjab in London
The old station had real character and atmosphere. Platforms were fully covered — sheltered well from rain and strong sun. Everything has changed after renovation: now it feels like just a huge, cold concrete block with no soul or character at all. There are even signs written in Hindi only.nnThe platforms are all bare concrete — they get extremely hot in sunshine and there is no shade anywhere to hide from the heat. There are hardly any seats to rest, and very few or no bins either. It is simply a massive, soulless concrete monster instead of a proper, comfortable station.
A poor quality station in need of redevelopment. Access is from the main road and finding the correct platform can be confusing. The entrance area is tiny and horribly cramped at peak times. There is a tiny but expensive shop. Dot matrix displays are at one end of the platform thus making it difficult for many passengers to see. Note to cyclists:This is a crime hot-spot and not a safe place to leave a cycle.
Bad staff always gate access problem we have valid tickets even gate not open please fix it first lots of times we missed the trainsnThen staff come and chek ticket in between we are not start our work on timenPlease sort out this problem instead of cheking ticket officers weather we have valid tickets or other travel cardsnTotally not happynStaff are too rude behaviour and said this issue not goona be fix please chek sat 11 April 2026 Southall Station morning shift staff
