Great little beach with plenty to do and lovely scenic views.. Very good area to stay if you fancy a break in Salcombe. Ferry available to the town, decent cafe on the beach. Kayak and paddle board hire also available. If your a beach person worth a try.
Had it all on 01-Sep-23 - sun, sand, sea and crab sandwich. Wouldn't have found it the day before....
Beautiful area, the beach itself is a little small so could get cramped if busy, but the beach bar provides everything you could want, and had great covid protections/systems in place. The best views come from a short walk along the coastal path... Honestly it's a crime to not take a quick peek from the top The road down to the area is tiny I'm not sure if there is an alternative but I couldn't find one so if you have a large vehicle, take care! There is parking in a National Trust car park at a flat rate of £6 payment by phone for the whole day, plenty of spaces available.
Loved this unspoilt small sandy beach, with nice views of wooded cliffs and Salcombe Estuary. Enjoy the sun in this sheltered cove or take the South Sands Passenger Ferry to Salcombe, using the Sea Tractor to board the boat. Lots of tiny boats are moored just off the shoreline making for a picturesque scene. If you fancy a walk to nearby North Sands Beach, it's just a mile along the road from here.

Perfect little beach. Great spot to relax, get food, swim, water activities, 30 min walk into Salcombe Town. Or half way stop before the headlands to the south
