Found this aptly named takeaway while working down the road. The food was great, I ate from here 2 nights running, and will definitely use again if in the area. As for delivery? Go get it yourself!
I have never had a problem with the food. Its always been good, but they are just too busy sometimes and delivery often takes longer than advertised. If you call they are very polite and apologetic, but this doesn't help you, if you just want your food to be delivered soon after you order it. Top tip....Going in person is always quicker. Doesn't change the fact that they are, in my opinion, the best Chinese Take away in the area.
I ordered last Saturday night and though it appeared the restaurant was very busy, I decided a 90 minute wait was just about doable. After 90 minutes my food hadn't arrived. I allowed them some extra time but at 2 hours I called them. She was very apologetic and said they were "making it now" and it would take 10 minutes to make and 12 minutes for delivery. That would be just before 22:15. After another phone call the order finally arrived at 22:30. By then it was 2 hours 38 minutes waiting time. Though the food was decent when it arrived especially the beef croquettes, it was very late to have dinner. They are very busy biting off more than they can chew no pun intended. Suggestion: take less orders, deliver more on time. Then I would order again.
Wow. Ordered from here for the first time and we'll definitely be ordering again. The food was delicious. Gorgeous balance of flavours - no need to add any salt or other seasoning. Just perfect. Really generous portion sizes and packed with so much care - ramen broth packed separately from the noodles to stop them going soggy The person who delivered or food was friendly and polite restaurant staff. Literally can't fault anything. Thank you South Feast Kitchen!
Terrible experience. The delivery is a joke. The ramen is not what ramen supposed to be I could have made better myself . It was basically super noodles with fried chicken and a piece of sea weed. The squid was microwaved
The food here is amazing but the delivery issues are a big problem, ordered some food and it said 30-45 mins, called them after an hour to be told that they don't know when it will be delivered as the delivery guy won't be back until 20 mins, so then I offered to pick it up to be told the order hasn't even been started yet and best to wait for it to be delivered in another 45 mins. So for this reason alone will probably not be ordering again, what a shame!
We’ve used this restaurant three times now during lockdown and every time it’s the same issue. They advertise delivery times within 35-55 mins on the Uber app, then when your order is confirmed the delivery jumps up to 50-70mins but then it doesn’t get here until over an hour and a half later. Of course there’s an amount of flexibility from our part during lockdown so Last night I called the restaurant straight after placing my Uber order to check delivery times advertised were correct and the restaurant said they were and I would definitely receive the order within the time. 90mins later I called again and it was only just leaving the restaurant nothing to do with the driver. It’s a real shame as the menu selection is good and the food is really tasty. When it arrived it was hot and fresh so this shows that it had been made recently and wasn’t late due to being stuck in the car. So I’d recommend this place if you want good food but order way ahead of when you want it or go and collect it yourselves.
It was 2 hours late, we were missing food and the quality of the food was poor. Avoid at all costs!!!
DO NOT ORDERWhen ordering it said 25-30 minutes. Once we had paid it jumped to 1hr 30mins. 2hrs later still waiting for the delivery. Will never order again. Just be honest from the start. The lady I spoke to on the phone was nothing but rude and completely unapologetic. EDIT 3hrs later doesn't look like any food is going to come.
This has got to be the best Chinese Take away within the local area. We have tried many in and around the SE15 area, and finally we've found a Take Away we would happily use again. The portions are generous, and the food is very tasty. I was particularly impressed with the Sweet & Sour Chicken Hong Kong Style, it had plenty of chicken within it, and thankfully did not consist of mainly Peppers or pineapple like the majority of Take Aways I've tried. The aromatic duck was also very good. Their website is very user friendly, making ordering food online very easy. I would highly recommend South Feast Kitchen, it is most definitely worth checking out!
