Worth a visit. Friendly staff and great choice of cakes.

I've visited the cafe a few times when cycling in the area. The coffee is great and there is a good cake selection. I would definitely recommend the flapjack if you need to refuel. Plenty of space round the back for bikes too.

Food was very good but not cheap. I had lemon chicken salad and my husband had lemon chicken jacket potato. Apart from mine having bread and his potato the meals were identical but his was £2 cheaper! The cakes looked amazing and would live to return and sample. Excellent coffee.

I would love to be writing a glowing review of Sophies Bed and Breakfast but unfortunately I can't. 

I booked a room at the bed and breakfast in August 2017 and paid a £50.00 deposit. I was subsequently contacted by the proprietor and told that she had let the room on a third party web site and that later booking would priority. No problem (or so I wrongly thought!!). I was promised a refund and proceeded to book elsewhere. The refund never arrived and despite several phone calls and false promises I now feel the only way to get my deposit back is to proceed to the Small Claim Court.

Please BEWARE. Booking and paying a deposit at Sophie's Bed And Breakfast DOES NOT secure your room so ensure you have a plan B.
