Been with Somerton house surgery many years now and overall it's Ok . It's pretty standard now to wait 2 weeks to see your own doctor. And unless you take your chances and ring at 8 am. The amount of people who waste the doctors time is unbelievable it's like a coffee morning for some. I'd given the surgery 5* but the young female receptionist/administration staff. Seem to think they are actually doctors , well your not for a start a good basic education would be a start , which they show none , very rude and inapt. Training in customer service would also be a good idea learn direct do a free coarse in this field.

A truly horrendous service. I have been told that despite being unable to get to the surgery (feeling very unwell and unsafe to drive) I am not worthy of a home visit because I am not disabled or elderly. She said if I am not willing to get a taxi there and home again (which I can't afford) then I'm obviously not that bothered and not willing to be seen. I have seen them multiple times over the past year for the same problem, and every time I've been a doctor has fobbed me off with a new reason as to why they won't treat me or even help me discover what is wrong. I'm moving doctors surgerys after today's telephone appointment. It fixed nothing and the doctor was incredibly rude (Dr Smith if anyone is interested).

When I moved from MK in 2007, this surger was recommended to me by the warden at the sheltered housing complex. I took her advice. 10 yrs on I have to say that the staff and Doctors here are wonderful and I have never had cause to regret that decision. They might have...
