We bought 2 British made sofas in January last year, 12 months later and we are still very pleased with them. The staff at Solomons are very helpful and there is a huge selection. Just revisited today for a new mattress and again great customer service from another member of staff. First class.
Very helpful staff, pre-sale and delivery, especially when we had to postpone the delivery several times, delays totalling a small number of months! We were very grateful for this, but all of the good work was undone. Unfortunately, at the point of delivery, we found that will will not remove any old furniture, which took as completely by surprise and has caused massive inconvenience to us. It’s a question I will be asking before I buy furniture in future.
Lovely huge showroom, very friendly helpful staff without being pushy. Great to support trade in Cornwall without going to Plymouth. Easy to find with easy parking. Interesting pieces. We baught he best bed we’ve ever had. Recommend.

What a wonderful furniture company. Really helpful staff
We have been very loyal customers for many years until our latest purchase of a corner sofa we went for this one because it was made in this country so expected very good quality but it wasn't. We found that both ends of the sofa sunk down not giving us the comfort and support we need. I have to roll up towels to put under the cushions which we shouldn't have to do. I rang Solomon's about it they contacted the supplier who sent out someone to check for faults but said there were none, we disagreed. We were told Solomon's would be back in touch with us but never did so I rang them this morning and they won't do anything about it, so we will never visit their store again we are very very disappointed with them.
Bought a table but sadly it had a fault in the wood. They agreed to give us a full refund as another one would take a further 6 weeks. Staff are so helpful at Solomons, Andrew and Tess were so polite and friendly it's a pleasure to shop there. We always go there first to see if they have what we want and they generally have. Wonderful store!!
Fantastic service from efficient and friendly staff! Couldn't be more helpful and continue to be friendly and helpful throughout the whole process right through to delivery. This is important and this why you should choose Solomons for your furniture order. I raise this point because I have had experience of ordering from Solomons and from another "big high street furniture name" the one with the sales, at the same time for another property. The service from "the big name" is polar opposite; absolutely diabolical once ordered, they couldn't care less once payment is made and none of the surly call centre staff have the ability/or can't be bothered to find out what's going on once the order is placed and paid for, but Solomans are in a different league. They're on the ball, able to keep you informed and have been a delight to deal with from beginning to end. If you think you're in better hands with a big national chain, think again and go to Solomons! Thank you Solomons and thank you for always being cheerful and helpful on the phone!
My husband and I visited Solomon’s Furniture store to buy a new mattress. We were very specific about our requirements –both being elderly, with back problems. Also, my husband had just had a hip replacement. We were advised that a ‘Kaymed’ mattress would meet our requirements. We bought it and were given a 4 – 6 week delivery date. It cost over £1,100 – so not cheap. Delivery was delayed, apparently because of Covid and Brexit. When we eventually took delivery, it took two strong men to carry it upstairs. The mattress is incredibly heavy and uncomfortable. It is impossible for us to turn it as suggested in the literature or to make up the bed properly. We now both have further back problems. My chiropractor thought that my condition might have been exacerbated by the new mattress. We have done our best to get used to it – as one always does with a new mattress. We even bought knee supports to ease the transition. When I discussed the matter with the manager, I was told that it could possibly be referred back to the manufacturer- but that this would be difficult since it had been used. Our contract was clearly with the retailer and not the manufacturer. We will be taking legal advice
Terrible experience, rude abrupt office staff who told us "we could not expect something perfect even though it was new" and our standards were too high! No customer service whatsoever. Our products went back and we had a refund minus delivery charge!! Total disgrace will never use again or recommend company.
