Snelling Farm offers a scenic location, perfect for camping with friends and family alike. Enjoy sitting around a campfire, toasting marshmallows and watching the sunset over the river Frome. Get back to basics with a little bit of luxury, toasty hot showers, washing up sinks and eco-friendly loos on site. Walk from the farm to Moreton Ford for a paddle in the river and watch the lambs play in the fields as you stroll back.. What more could you want?

wonderful visit to Snelling Farm Campsite. Very friendly and welcoming Hosts Christabel and Sam. Amazing Location in-between the popular dayattractions Monkey World and Tank Museum and Purbeck Coast . Very quiet , dogfriendly, fun for children and lovely walks.
Lovely spacious camping in well-prepared fields on a family farm. Lots of room to pitch anywhere and no shortage of room. Children loved the space and making friends around the tree swings and straw-bale climbing platform with slides. Wee shop well stocked with local produce including lamb from the farm, ice creams, milk and marshmallows. Fire pits were freely available, with wood and kindling sold at the shop and even brought round in the evenings on the buggy by the owners. Owners and staff friendly and attentive. It was clear many people come here year after year. Loos and Showers basic but clean and eco-friendly. We did not experience any of the queues some other reviews mention. Location is at the end of a mile long gravel track but helps add to the quiet. Perfectly situated for easy access to Monkey World, Tank Museum and wider Jurassic Coast. Nice village of Moreton a short walk via the bridge over the ford. Lots of minnows so a good place for the children to go netting.
A nice very large field to camp on, Plenty of space to choose from. Great location for Bovington Tank Museum. Facilities are pretty basic though, hence my 3 stars. Everything very clean, but composting toilets, only three properly heated showers. Toilets and showers are a good distance apart. Dish washing area not covered don't know why as it would be so easy to do, so we got wet in the rain. At £18 for a tent and two people, it's too expensive compared to other full facility sites. I'd say that £15 would be more appropriate for what you get.
Brilliant campsite, our personal favourite. Cristabel and Sam keep things simple and perfect. Massive field, like-minded campers, local produce, rope swings, hay bales and literally in the middle of nowhere.
