You would get a more magical and exciting experience from a funeral home. Customer service does not exist. You would not think this was a toy store. You walk in and get ignored or you just get looked at. It's always gloomy in there and your lucky if anyone speaks to you. Toy stores should be fun and welcoming for all ages including adults not people walking around and doing the best they can to ignore the customers and being moody.
Della at Castle Vale store near Birmingham has been extremely helpful on two occasions. It’s really rare to find good customer service in shops but Della was friendly, knowledgeable & super-helpful both times I’ve been in store in the past fortnight. Went in to buy numerous gifts for my daughter’s 5th bday & had my twins in a pushchair. Without me asking, she moved some ladders that were about to obstruct me, then she helped me locate something. Later on Della went to the store room as I needed a hula hoop which wasn’t on the shop floor. And when I went in today, she helped me find car window sun blinds for my twins. She’s a credit to you, thank you Della.
Excellent service from the day my daughter was born. Also today went to buy a car seat as I thought my daughter was growing out of her newborn 1. 1stly the young gentleman asian helped me and said I still have plenty of time b4 I purchase one, 2ndly explained to me everytin which even google wouldn know. Also said in future he will put it on and show me when I need to buy a new 1. Thank u bangla bhaisab
We have bought 2 car seats on 2 separate occasions from Smyths. Once while pregnant and again recently as my little one will outgrow her first seat soon. Both times we were helped by Della. She was brilliant at demonstrating how to install the car seats properly, explained the safety reasons behind certain things and answered all our questions perfectly. Her customer service skills are one of the best I have seen.
Took the kids for some Christmas shopping, staff were lovely and really happy to help, even on Christmas eve, with the shop full to the brim, lovely and clean, very organised,

Loads of stock here considering it's the week before Christmas which was brilliant. Found some squishmallows that were sold out everywhere else. Quick and easy. Staff were friendly.
The staff from this store is not the best staff.I go there with my son in the shelter writing 42.29 the price when I go on the tills they charge me 52.29 .when I go to show them the mistake the manager from there tell me because is not possible to give me the price from the shelter if I don’t like to no buy the product.
Delighted, but not surprised, to see so many lovely comments regarding Della as she is the sole reason for this review! I visited Smyths Castle Vale twice this week and on both occasions, Della offered us exceptional customer service. It’s refreshing to receive service from somebody that actually wants to help and that will go above and beyond - she is an absolute credit to your store!
Great place, good quality merchandise, all the top brands, never really had any issues with stock levels for items i have gone there to purchase..never had any problems with any of the staff, they always seem friendly and have always been helpful
