One of my favourite restaurants in Kings Cross area. Good food and reasonably priced. Welcoming atmosphere.
[UPDATE : it seems the place is now closed] Great place! The restaurant's room may look a bit colder than the bar but we had an absolutely good time: service is lovely, food is excellent and they have a good choice of wine.
the food was pretty good with the mains costing around £15. was disappointed by their ales. they were all badly kept and gone off, having already sent one back i just left the other.
We had arranged our engagement drinks at Smithys, however three days before the event they phoned to cancel our booking! This was despite receiving written confirmation and visiting the venue the previous day and speaking to the manager. I would not trust this venue to organise any important event for you!!
Quite a surprise in a well hidden spot of Kings Cross. A really good pub and restaurant with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Had bombardier, wine and cote de boeuf, will definitely come back!
