I 1st contacted Peter Smythe training in April as  I was looking for a new career in driving HGV vehicles  .The starter pack seemed the best way to go as I had no idea of the process .I was given a medical on site , all the dvla licence forms, complete access to all the online training  which was  an excellent platform and all my theory tests booked for me at a   DVSA centre closest to my home . Once theory tests are passed you arrange your driver training. The CAT C vehicles were new and a pleasure to drive my instructor Mark C was excellent and patient . I passed 1st time  today in September with 2 minors , the same amount as my mock test with Mark ,so you know the instructors are as keen as the examiner.    pity I didn’t learn from the day before  .I would highly recommend this company the whole team from start to finish are always there to offer help and guidance 5 star rating from me

Passed Class 1 C+E with PSTT. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! Absolutely amazing driving school. Amazing service and really lovely instructors. Absolutely incredible guidance and support from instructors, especially Helen and Mark from start to finish. They were calm, patient and concise, and their ability to pass on knowledge and advice is second to none. I would 100% recommend!!!!

What starts out as potentially the most daunting week of your life is immediately quelled with the warm and friendly welcome you receive from Rosina. Next you meet your instructor they’re all brilliant and very friendly. First couple of days is a brain fry with super concentration taking it's toll by the end of the day. Day 3 and things start to come together. It’s such a superb experience and for me culminated in a first time pass. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the biggest thanks go to Tim keep that Mini going buddy! and the man himself Peter Smythe who I had a day with as well. Well run, super organised and really friendly. Go do it.

I passed my class 2 test recently first time with Peter Smythe's. I was a bag of nerves when I started but the team quickly made me feel comfortable and confident. Just want to give a huge thanks to Mark, Sam and the Peter Smythe team who got me through my nerves and my test.  If you've been looking around for people to train you on your driving lessons/tests, I highly recommend these guys!

Just completed my class 1. C E. Passed first time with a big thanks to Sam a fantastic instructor giving me practical advice as was necessary on the road. Thanks to Paul for the reversing advice and pointers to make reversing a artic into a garage with no issues. Very professional company throughout the whole process I would recommend these guys to anyone who is thinking of doing this. Big thanks to everyone in the office for the easy process Wayne Butler

I would definitely recommend learning here great people very professional and welcoming you feel at ease,  as we all know driving something different and bigger is scary, but they make you feel relaxed the instructor are brilliant and have a lot's of experience/patience. So if you fancy a career change and want to move into the transport industry I would recommend Peter Smythe Transport Training 100%...

Do not catch Covid while training! I paid for a full C+E driving course, starter pack and CPC and I unfortunately contracted Covid after day 2, even though there is no legal requirement to isolate, I informed the school as I felt I had a duty of care for my instructor/examiner having to share such a confined space with them.  I was told by the office manager to go home, get better and call to resume when ready, when I emailed I was told I would have to pay £350 for a test, I was never informed of this and would never have gone home if I was. I offered to pay a DVSA test fee of £115 but was told I must pay the standard £350 fee.  The company will try and sell you 3 tests during the sales pitch for £350 at the start of your training so obviously they were trying to make money from me by charging me the same for one test.  It seems I care about their staff more than they do and I should have attended while positive, they are only interested in profiting on the situation.  Instructors are brilliant I give them a 5 star, it’s the greed from higher up that lets the place down.

From first entering the premises everybody is so friendly and professional, My tutors were all great and managed to relax my original nerves. Helping me pass the first time. Highly recommend with no hesitation.

Highly Recommended.1ST TIME PASS Did my class 2 training and CPC mod 4 , Reverse Test and Class 2 test. Mod 4 was taught by Chris. Friendly knowledgeable chap.. I PASSED 1st  time Class 2 training and reverse test was taught by Mark C. Very friendly knowledgeable Chap. Taught me very good and in a way I understood. Thankyou Mark C  Staff at Peter Smythe very friendly and made me feel I was a valid student.  Highly Recommend Peter Smythe to anyone wanting there HGV/ Bus license.
