Hi, I work for Smile Cliniq currently and I disagree with this review completely. This is a lovely work environment full of friendly staff and workers. The bosses are good to us, always helpful and I enjoy working here. I do not know this person but do not believe any of this bad review is true.

Wonderful clinic, Dr. Kotecha is one of the best dentists I've ever been too. High quality treatment and a lot of care for the patient. Recommended! Reasonable pricing and flexible payment plans made it possible for me to benefit from their fantastic services! Really nice helpful people and staff!

Firstly, I would like to say that I am aware everyone else has come on here and reviewed this practice from a patient’s point of view but I would like to make my views known as an employee of Smile Cliniq for the last almost 8 years. I think that as much as patient care is paramount in a business such as this, so is the welfare of employees. I cannot speak on behalf of any of my ex colleagues but I can honestly say that what they did to me was beyond absolutely disgusting. Smile Cliniq terminated my contract because of my mental health. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety and needed extra support at work, instead I was fired and I was told not to contact my work colleagues who were my only form of support at the time. It did not stop there. I then got evicted from the house I was living with (with one of the dentists) and left homeless on the streets with no job, no support and made to feel like a criminal for having mental health problems. Dr Chetan Kaher made my life completely unbearable by making me feel like it was my fault that I had mental health issues and refused to work at the practice at the same site as me when I was there. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I’m so proud and happy to tell you that I survived and have made it through the hell I was put through by these individuals (as well as others) and I am on the road to recovery. Smile Cliniq made every effort to remove everything I had in my life and were fully aware I was a vulnerable young person and made me believe I was nothing and deserved to be isolated and removed from my work colleagues to deteriorate by myself with no job, home or friends. They were wrong. I am now stronger than ever and have a new job in a wonderfully supportive and happy dental practice where I am celebrated for my strengths as opposed to victimised for my weaknesses. I am going to make sure everyone knows what Smile Cliniq did to me because whether you are a patient or not, we are all human and deserve to be treated in a humane way and not thrown away onto the street (literally and figuratively) left to die because of your mental health by your employers of 8 years who are running a medical service! I worked so hard at Smile Cliniq and they know this because my appraisal just months before they fired me for no reason clearly states that my performance was “excellent” at work even whilst being mentally unwell. The only thing they could use against me was that I wanted to speak to my colleague whom I lived with and called it harassment yet they had no proof of this. They just wanted to get rid of me because of my mental health and did anything they could to do so. Be the change you wish to see. Don’t let people who have more money than you, are more socially stable and have the tools to destroy you do so. We are all human and all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect regardless of a mental health issue with depression and anxiety or not. in response to the comment below: Hi, the reason you don't know me is because you are most probably my replacement after i was unfairly dismissed. I'm glad you are happy there. I wouldn't wish what they did to me on anyone. What i will say is ask Dr Chetan Kaher if you don't believe what i've written is true. He was there for the last 8 years whilst i was and he along with one other person did their upmost to kick me when i was down. I haven't hidden my name so they know exactly who I am. One word of advice.. Do not lose your copy of your contract. They will not give you a new copy regardless of how many times you ask and will make you work ridiculous hours etc and claim it's in your contract which they too have lost and refuse to rewrite or reproduce. Dr Viraj Patel and the rest of the staff are very friendly and make you feel at ease. The procedure as well as the aftercare are explained thoroughly.
