I visited Smashburger today for the first time. It's easy and quick to order using the screens. I found the place to be very clean but it was totally empty, we were literally the only customers there. There was a really bad smell from somewhere up near the accessible toilet, it smelled a little like sewage and I could smell it from halfway down the restaurant which was off-putting. The food is adequate but nothing exciting. The burger is flavoursome but it was far too greasy for my own taste. I had a double burger with an onion ring on top, some sweet potato fries and a water. It was nice but nothing outstanding. My son had the same burger but with tater-tots covered in bacon and cheese and a Fanta. The cost was £41. Personally, I feel the cost is far to high for what you get. I wouldn't say I enjoyed it any more than a McDonald's or Burger King and both of them would have cost me less than ½ the price of Smashburger. I will say, the service was very quick, there was almost no waiting around. I can now say that I've been and tried it but I don't see me ever going back, it's just not worth it
pro:big and clean area, nice customer service cons:French fries not hot enough but crispy.Need to use packed tomatoes sauce instead of small containers cause it will have oxidation and taste bad burger:blue cheese beef burger, too salty, need to have at least 3 slices of tomatoes to reduce the salty but there only got 2.Beef is fresh but not juicy.Eating at the end will feel very thirsty. Vegetarian options: vegan burger
The burger quality was really really good and the tots were the best part by far, definitely be trying this one againFood: 5/5
Their food is very delicious also service it was wonderful and professional and prices are great I will visit them again soon
I dropped in here on a Sunday afternoon for a bite to eat. It was very quiet which I like. I was greeted straight away and given the menu and an order number. Once I sat down, I scanned a QR code on the menu to place an order. The burgers looked huge so I stuck to one thing. The waitress asked me if I wanted a glass of water as I hadn’t ordered anything with my food. This was welcome and refreshing and free of course. I had the chicken burger with added blue cheese and ranch dressing. Total bill was £11.95. So it’s not the cheapest place Ian town but it was worth it. The toppings were fresh and a good size portion. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and had the look of the typical American burger joint. I would recommend this place.
Thought we would try lunch here. Glad we did food was good. burgers were so fresh. Staff were friendly. Would recommend & will Return. 5 stars Returned on 8th August 23. Food was good. But floor is far too slippery
Quiet spot with tasty, yet slaty burgers 7/10. Loved the Coke Zero Orange, not every place has that freestyle drink machine. Ordered the Oklahoma cheeseburger — tasty but very salty and best eaten quickly as it fell apart. The double smashed patties are great but could do with less salt. Fries were fresh and crispy, though a bit too oily. The plastic-covered menus didn't seem very clean, which was off-putting in such a quiet setting. Ordering via QR code was a hassle; direct till service is better. Staff was lovely. At £16.80, it's priced similarly to other places but the meal could improve by reducing salt and oil. Overall, 7/10—would consider returning for another try.
Just a little underwhelming and too expensive. I had some truffle fries and a normal smashed burger. The fries were very greasy and the truffle didn’t stand out at all. The burger was rather small and the the ingredients weren’t very special. I payed about 24£ for a fast food meal that wasn’t the best but also not the worst. Not good not terrible
Tasty veggie burger, tater tots and mac & cheese bites. Friendly service and clean locationFood: 5/5
When ordering your items it's all contactless which is both fine and not brilliant, fine as your spoiled for choice on what kind of burger you can get but also if you want to add extra toppings like pickles, cheese sauce it's there but you'll be charged extra, same goes for there chips selection. But the not so brilliant part is when you've done all the ordering and are ready to pay sometimes the card machine isn't working or switch on so you've wasted time there but also if your lookong for someone to talk to take your order, there doesn't seem to be anyone there at the other desk from what I've seen anytime I've been in. There foods good, it will fill you up and the portion is big but not to the point your uncomfortable after eating ya know. I'll definitely be back though for the burger.
