Our menu also has a wide selection of Red Tractor farm assured chicken burgers, succulent lamb burgers and tasty vegetarian, vegan and gluten free burgers. Our Glasgow city centre restaurant is situated in a magnificent grade two listed building in St Vincent Street. The weekday lunch special here can not be beat! Delicious local food with great service as well! A wonderful first eatery I found when i came into Scotland. They also had the Juicy Lucy burger which I would love to try the next time Im here, being from MN where it originated, it warmed my heart to see it on their men.
Only came here by accident but we're really happy we did. Staff was really friendly and helpful and we felt well looked after. Food itself came really fast it wasn't very busy though and was delicious. Good portion size - not too much and still enough. Free refills for the fruits fizz drinks - we had the raspberry-lime and we loved it. Definitely recommend to come here
Ordered chicken burgers and they really exceeded our expectations. Grilled chicken was delicious. Staff was very friendly. The service was very fast as well which was a great bonus. Student discount on a friday is a rare find.
I'm a vegan and my daughter a vegetarian so we were happy with the burger options available. I believe there was 4 vegan and 5 veggie options. The burgers were really tasty, flavoursome and fresh. I didn't think much of the chips though. They were quite dry and unappetising. I had piri piri flavouring on mine but they really could have done with a salsa or something to add some moisture. The staff were nice and the restaurant was clean but unfortunately there wasn't much of an atmosphere. Although the burgers were nice I'm not sure if I'd go back.
So the thing I can say is that I've traveled quite a lot around the world, but I have never, ever had such an amazing hamburger as the one I had here. It was simply divine. You can feel that it's actually handmade and there's time put in its making, and you could feel the quality of that burger meat. Place itself is really interesting and elegant on the inside, upstairs where the bathrooms are there is a cinema and old posters of movies, which gives it even more that sense of vintage place. Staff were absolutely wonderful and really kind. Do try the strawberry cheesecake ice cream sundae. Will ABSOLUTELY come here again. Instantly fell in love with the place.
In my opinion, this is one of the most delicious restaurants in Glasgow, various options of burgers, and entirely handmade prepared. The price is quite high if you are not students. But it deserves to try.
A little pricey but very, very good. Let them know you're gluten free and they will make you a patty that doesn't have the cereals in it and they will give you probably the best gluten free bun I have eaten to date--no lie. Easily the best burger I've had out...but it was £14.
I had a burger topped barbecue pulled pork and red onion in a barbecue sauce. And piri piri dusted fries. My partner and I split a side of onion rings too. The burger was succulent and melted in the mouth, the barbecue pulled pork had a slightly sweet, smokey flavour which offset the burger and the light spice from the fries nicely. My partner had a cheese burger, topped with bacon and lettuce. He let me try a mouthful of the burger when we realised it was stuffed with swiss cheese. It was lovely, but I must say I preferred my own. His fries, which were cajun dusted, were better than mine. The onion rings were crisp and not overly greasy. I'm the weirdo that likes pickles, so I got his too! The service was pretty good in there, we were in quite late on, and didn't feel pressured to leave or hurry up with our food. And on talking to the girl who brought us the bill, we were told that they have a vintage style cinema upstairs that you can hire out, it seats about 20 people. The only things that weren't great was the sticky floor- like the floor of a dive bar or a concert venue, every step to the drinks machine was heard, and that half their lightbulbs were out. Other than that, it was a lovely experience.
We've visited HBCs in Birmingham and Peterborough and found them to be worth 5 stars. This one in Glasgow gets 4 stars mainly for the food. It's a good-looking place, well situated but, although the staff was friendly, the service was poor. I ordered my favourite Chicken with Brie and Cranberry from the extensive menu only to be advised that - at 12.00 on a Tuesday, mind you - they had run out! Whaa! We saw our food arrive at the serving hatch which is more than our waiter did. I had to fetch him from 'till training to collect our burgers for us. HBC overall is pretty good but Glasgow? The food, when we got to it, was scrumptious.
Tasty food, plenty of choice. Staff very willing to help. My order was wrong but sorted quickly, no problem. Watch the Cajun fries they are hot but delicious
