Great burgers for a reasonable price, I was stuffed after that delicious meal! You get free refills on all softdrinks too, however they mostly offer sugar free versions of SevenUp, Pepsi, etc. Note that only Pepsi can be ordered in its original Form! The selection of Milkshakes is remarkable too as well as their seasonal offers as seen in the pictures! Will visit again on my next glasgow holiday!
Found this place just recently and to be honest i was very surprised at how tasty the food is....and really reasonably priced too. It has a very welcome atmosphere and everyone there seems very friendly too. Great tunes played from a juke box at every other table providing you enjoy "old 50's" tracks you cant go wrong. Only thing that shocked me was the subtle way of asking for a tip when paying your bill. I payed by card and it comes up on the termnal after you key in your pin number....i didnt mind as i had great service and delicious food but i guess it is each to their own as it is not normally a requrement in Scotland to leave a tip.
Had a nice experience today for lunch. Was a wee bit busy so had to wait a couple of minutes to get seated, that didn't bother my partner or myself as we were given a menu each and had a seat while we waited. The host Scott I think his name was was great, very pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious, I had the pulled pork hotdog and my OH had the skinny burger which she thoroughly enjoyed. The milk shakes are some of the best shakes I've ever had. Will definitely be going back
Absolute shocking customer service. Went to the restaurant to be told the chef hasn’t shown up yet and to come back in an hour. Went back an hour later to be told they’d need another hour as they were having technical difficulties. Went back 2 hours after initially going to be called liars by a member of staff. A huge decline in the quality of the experience with this restaurant. The inbooth music selectors don’t work and have been sealed up and the staff are not up to scratch. Past couple of visits had to wait over 15 minutes to pay the bill. Definitely not going back and I would advise anyone who is considering this restaurant to consider other places which have better customer service. Went earlier in the week as well for one of their theme days only to find out it was closed due to unforeseen maintenance. It appears this restaurant is never open for business when they have an offer/deal on.
I have always walked past this diner and it has been too busy to go in, thought luck has hit when I noticed it was quite quiet so though to go in and have a bite to eat. To start off they cpuld only accept cash as their card machine had gone down, that's fair enough these things happen but to then get back in and wait a silly amount of time for a burger, fries and 2 sides of mozzarella sticks to be made was a joke. The mozzarella sticks where empty and over cooked and the chicken burger under cooked. Maybe it was just an off day for them but it was a complete waste of money for me and a friend. Our server was as nice as she possibly could be which was nice but watching an other table talking to the manager over the same problem and not receiving an apology and a lot of excuses we decided to just pay our bill and leave. Over all waiting staff are lovely, place is nice, food is a no thanks.
Milkshakes to die for and I thought I didn't like them! Burgers great pancakes and waffles. Little Duke box at booth tables choose your song for 20p keeps the kids and big kids amused. Staff pleasant even under pressure. Keep up good work will be back
Staff were pleasant but service slow. Asked for burger without cheese. Staff must have realised when order was ready as meals served separately. My burger arrived and was evident cheese has just been scraped off. Luckily I’m not allergic, I just don’t like it.
They didnt like that my brother was eating a sausage roll in there while we drinking milkshakes. I can understand its not from eds diner but i ordered milkshakes. Some of us cant afford a full meal in eds diner... plus the place was so empty so did it really matter.
Went with my 7 year old on Sunday afternoon. There were other diners but it wasn't super busy...plenty of free seats. Got seated quickly with some free crayons and a wee menu/activity sheet...fair enough. We then waited for over 15 minutes without being served. When I overhead another table being seated and having a drinks order taken we didn't get this we got up to leave. I took my menu back and told a waiter why we were leaving to which he replied "OK" then walked away. Doubt I'll be back...
I think this place has been underrated. It's a great wee spot to take kids. Menu is very varied and they are great for gluten free. Separate menu with safe foods and everything I ordered came out labelled as gluten free. I always find the staff good and great with my son.
