Glad we found this bookshop. We were in a bit of a hurry but will spend more time looking around the next time we visit. Lady in shop very helpful.
Fantastic second-hand bookshop! Loads of choice and very well organised. Most paperbacks were priced at 3 for £5 and all in good to great condition.
If you read and you’re in the area then this place is a must. If you don’t read, this place will make you wish you did. All the things a bookshop should be. Visited with my wife and children while touring Northumberland. Great and varied selection of books and plenty of rare finds for every taste. My son was delighted to pick up a book for £1 of his pocket money in the children’s section which is priced so kids can spend their pocket money.
Always a fun place to visit... beware tho! You'll come out with an armful of books you didn't know you needed! Friendly, comfy.
Brilliant little book shop full of well - ordered, interesting books. Great building with lantern window to rear giving excellent light to sitting area beneath. Friendly and helpful staff.
A welcoming shop with plenty of armchairs to relax and peruse books. Stock is tired and hardbacks in quite poor condition, torn and damaged dustjackets. Good clearout would be beneficial ? Friendly owner, although no trade discount given, even when asked for, not the right attitude. However wish them the best of luck.
I have been before and it was a delight to come back. Some might say it is small or cramped full of books but that is exactly what I love about this place. So far I have found more interesting books than I could possibly buy, so it just mean that I have to keep coming back. As mentioned before the shop is quite narrow to navigate and it has internal steps so not good if you have mobility issues.
What a little treasure trove such an array of books for all ages would highly recommend

Stunning little bookshop, filled with so many treasures. Found some Choose Your Own Adventure books from my childhood and also some pristine Penguin modern classics which I collect. The dog is friendly, as is the owner. Beautiful mural on the dome ceiling in the middle of the shop. Highly recommended.
