Very bad communication between staff. I asked for an item to be put aside, was not asked to put down a deposit but did give my name and phone number. Agreed I'd pick the item up in a set time scale. Women assured me item would be packed up and ready for me to collect the following week. Went in today to get it and it had been put back on display and sold. Worse, the details about when I'd be back had not been passed on. Also very annoying, staff member kept saying she was sorry, but it was my fault. I hadn't left a deposit. I'd not come back in a couple of days. Told her I'd not been asked for a deposit, that I'd said exactly how long it would be before I'd be back. I came in the day after I'd said I would, item had been sold many days before. Before I'd stated categorically that I'd be back for item and the staff member had been happy with the arrangement and said she's pass it on. So, terrible staff communication. Mixed staff expectations - one seemed to think I had to have left a deposit, other had never mentioned deposit or asked for one. If she had, or then said they could only hold it for 48 hours, would have taken it then. Very very annoyed! Beware who you talk to and make sure everyone is clear about any purchase you make in this shop.
