Cracking pub, one of the best we’ve visited! A proper local village pub with fantastic home cooked food, choice of ales, a roaring fire,lovely staff and a friendly landlord; this is a real unassuming hidden gem. Our party had the gammon, fish pie, pies and scampi, all delicious. Puds are great too. Can’t rate this place highly enough, fab value to boot.
Cracking traditional pub serving excellent solid food at a reasonable price, lovely pint of Boltmaker also and all served by friendly people. The lamb shank was one of the best I've had. Open fire was most inviting.

Lovely welcoming traditional pub. We were held up by traffic works so called in as we'd missed our appointment elsewhere. We just had the soup which was lovely and coffees. The menu looked good and we will definitely return.
Just Brilliant!! We'll run pub with good beers / ciders etc and fab fab fab home made food! The steak and kidneys pies are in my top three, and I can't really separate which is is best etc.... Lol! Made so welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
