Just a word of caution and I wouldn't normally do this but I am so upset by what has happened. We are looking for 2/3 bed house, and we have been open and honest with Agents what our circumstances are and why we are moving. We received a text from Slades in Bournemouth and arranged a viewing after checking we definitely would be what the Landlord would be looking for in Tenants. I also said if anything changed please could they tell me as we are currently in Reading some 100 odd miles away so getting down to the area is a costly mission of trains, buses and cabs. My partner has gone down as arranged this morning- we had been due to view yesterday but they cancelled due to a mix up with the tenant.Partner gets there on time, well on time in fact. They tenant opens the door and tells him all the viewings are done for today. So I phoned them and spoke to Mark at Slades who was exceptionally rude and denied the viewing was today- like I'm going to book something and then let my partner travel down all that way and at that cost for the wrong day. Then he said it was pointless as the Landlord wont take us due to having two children! He was very dismissive, very rude and I am utterly heartbroken. We are living in an awful area at the moment where we've had to move our children out of their school due to appallingly bad bullying, he has work to start as soon as we arrive and Slades have just cost us time, money and caused upset to us by being so rude as to book us in and then mess us around. His attitude was he didn't book it so it wasn't his problem.I doubt very much he would have been promoting us to the owner either but I bet he would have taken a holding fee though. Just avoid them at all costs.

I don't often leave a lot of reviews for companies but felt compelled to do so following my service from Slades in Southbourne and in particular Mark Anderson.
  
I've been looking for a property now for the last three months and although sadly the property we have decided to go for wasn't through Slades, it wasn't through lack of trying on his behalf. 

Out of the 20 odd agents we initially registered our details with, they were the only ones with constant texts and calls the second they had a new property avalible and the viewings could subsequently be arranged almost immediately. 

I viewed, I think from memory 4+ properties with Slades and Mark in total and his passion and professionalism shone on all the viewings and not once did we feel like anything was too much and we were being a pain. 

The only down side to all this being was that as I say, the property we decided upon wasn't listed with them. 
I would have no question using them for sales or lettings in the future and as with this review couldn't recommend them and in particular Mark anymore.

Many thanks to Mark and Jason in the lettings department Southbourne. Viewed a property  and within ten days I am moving in. What has impressed me most is their 'human' approach to my circumstances - therefore going above and beyond to push my tenancy through quickly. This has restored my faith in letting agents, it isn't always just about what's on paper and passing all the relevant checks, these guys take everything into account. Thanks a lot guys.

I turned to Slades at a point where I was close to giving up, with Christmas round the corner and a 7 year old daughter to look after by myself, I was desperate for somewhere to live ASAP and as my situation wasn't the most straight forward, so many agencies turned their noses up at me and made me feel like a burden and a piece of dirt. Mark Anderson at Slades was the most helpful and understanding agent I have ever met. Although I ended up finding somewhere through a friend his determination and drive to help me find somewhere was outstanding. He wouldn't have been getting huge fees as I was only looking for a small property however he did it because he genuinely cared. I would highly recommend Mark and all the Slades team to anyone that is looking to rent or buy. Thank you so much Mark for all your help. Clare

Fantastic service from start to finish.  Dean , Jason and the whole team.  Our move would not have happened without these guys push , pulling and chasing all parties.  We could not rely on our own selling agents or solicitors to keep us appraised of the status or issues, but Slades always had their fingers on the pulse and went out of their way to inform us.  When the chain was breaking down Slades helped negotiate and mitigate the impact and held us together.  Cannot rate them highly enough.  When we were looking for properties they would always turn up with quality documentation, and could show us any house with intimate knowledge of the property , owners and provenance.   You made it fun guys
