Taxi driver and car were pleasant and on time. However, the app for booking automatically takes money from your card even if taxi is not available or if you cancelled the trip or if you made changes. I had 2 trips and was charged for 5. I was told that I should ask bank to return money or wait for 10 days for money to be available again.
Had a very pleasant experience with a lady driver. Such a polite, friendly and sweet lady she was! Her name's Rihanna. I'll definitely use Skyline cabs again!!
If I could rate any lower, I would. HORRIBLE cheating, scheming company. This may be long, but please read to understand. We went to the office, and told them how many bags we had, emphasising that the destination was less than 10 minutes away. We gave ALL the details, and they told us £12 then all if a sudden it was £14. Should have known from then that they were dodgy. We need to join a group at a certain location, BEFORE 11pm and board a coach. We had already booked and agreed on the price at the office. Its 10.40pm, so we have no other options, and the driver knows this. He calls the office, speaking I'm a foreign language so we won't understand them, then tells us its £20?!?!?!!!! They make something up about unloading when it literally took us a minute to take out our bags when we did arrive, and we did it OURSELVES. Then to justify the price change, they took a LONG route. They made something up about roadworks, and we drive that path every Saturday, we know w that the road closures don't affect it, but we have NO OPTIONS at almost 11pm, when we need to get the coach in order to get in a FERRY. The driver is just generally rude the entire journey, and after we got off, started inspecting the paintwork as if he wanted to find a mark so that he could annoy us more. Whats worse, this was at 23:05, and half the coach was packed, leading to us not being able to brush our teeth or change our clothes for two days, as our bags had to be brought down to the remote area separately. Made our entire holiday plan a disaster, never going to use them again, and would STRONGLY advise against using them
Rude drivers and overpriced. I'm disabled and the driver left my shopping on the pavement. I asked him politely if he could take them to my front door as I'm unable to carry the shopping, he saw me using crutches but he started getting rude telling me it's not his job. I said that it wouldn't hurt to help and that he needs to work on his customer service, he was still moaning about it so I just didn't bother with him. When I called for a cab on another occasion I got the same driver again. He just left my shopping ob the pavement again and tried over charging me, I told him to phone the office which he refused at first but did eventually and they told him to charge me what I had said. Never using them again.
Very rude! We called up asking how much would a cab cost for 2 people and a small dishwasher that could fit on the passenger seat and they informed us the journey would cost £18. So later in the evening we called again and they gave us a much higher price and the person on phone became very argumentative, shouting and swearing at my partner. Very unsalesman like!
I’ve been using skyline cars for years. It’s recently changed hands, and boy what a disappointing difference. As a regular customer the previous management was exceptionally good. There prices where higher then other cab services, however because of the service I did not mind paying. I’ve just had a complete nightmare experience with the new take over. I will never be using this cab service again. On calling & ordering a cab. I gave clear directions where I needed to go. I also explained it was a wait & return. I ask for a price & was told it was £8.00. I got to the place I needed to go. I was a couple of minutes. I got back into the cab to come home. The driver then informed me the fare that was given me was wrong. The actual fare was £13.50. I said how come it’s now £13.50? He said because that is what they charge. I knew he was trying to over charge me. It was very late, I had come out in my pjs. I called the office & said what had happened. The office had told the driver the fare was £12.00. All of a sudden I was so upset. It was principal that this driver was being greedy and taken advantage of me. I had a go at him and said that he was being greedy & trying to get as much money out of me because I was a women & it was late. I said there was no way I was paying that. He then stopped the car said that the whole thing was my fault as I hadn’t told the controller where I was going. He tried to twist it onto me, to justify charging well over the price it should have been. I ended up getting out the car in my pjs having to car another cab service. It was such a stressful situation to have to be in. I was so angry he had done this to me! WARNING TO WOMEN. If your on your own this driver will try to take advantage.
Booked car 3 weeks prior to my wedding for my son's family; 7 seater with 3 various age child seats, from Poplar to Hextable, with pick up the next day... Superb service! On time both days, grandchildren safely delivered, very reasonable quote. Will definitely use again.
