It was a rainy day in Eastern Lincolnshire when I boarded/exit my train at Skegness station. Always come to Skeg via the train to visit my family who stay here. A great station which is easy to access and navigate. Never understood why there were so many platforms though, when the train only goes to Nottingham? Perhaps that didn’t always used to be the case historically. Wish there were a few more services around the nearby areas though! This part of Lincolnshire does seem very cut off from the rest of the country. Believe there is a taxi rank and a few bus stops just outside the station, for those who need to travel further to Mablethorpe or Chapel x
We visited in July, was pretty busy. The visit was pleasant and the sea side town looked clean and friendly with plenty to occupy a family. Recommended.
First time in Skegness via train had a hick up ordering my ticketnLad behind the desk quickly solved my problem feel rude not remembing his name I was in a rush and panickingnBut thanks so much for quicky solving my issuenLad heading to Halifax
Useless inspector refuses to let passanger on train due to a miscommunication with ticket despite train being more than half empty got told to wait for 2 hours...nnGet a coach or a taxi instead....
The train station is lovely!! The trains doesn't come often but the station is the terminal.
