I had a deluxe pedicure with Laura yesterday. From start to finish the experience was superb. It was my first time at Sistene. Their online booking was simple and when I arrived I was efficiently met and shown to my seat. The decor inside is lovely and I have to say, Laura was excellent at her job but was a warm, personable girl to chat to. I will definitely be back and will also look at the other services they provide.
After hearing lots of good reviews about Sistine, my friend decided to booked nails and tan for herself and the bridal party, but unfortunately the experience was extremely negative and disappointing. The appointment was meant to be on Saturday for the wedding on Monday, and was rescheduled by Sistine a couple of weeks before the wedding due to parades in Holywood. I understand this is completely out of Sistine’s control however we were offered the Friday too early for tans and Sunday at 11am. We decided to go for Sunday and requested for this time to be earlier however were told they were unable to do this, assuring us we would be out of the salon for 1pm as she was bringing a team in. When we arrived on Sunday at 11am not only were we met by a horrible atmosphere, there were only 2 beauty therapists present with the others coming in at 12. This meant that only 2 out of the 5 bridal party could be taken and the rest were told to return at 12pm. The bride, who was booked in for Biab, was told there “wasn’t enough time” for it and that she had to get gel instead. The owner, Sarah, was extremely unwelcoming and did not make any effort to ask the bride any questions about her wedding, sitting in silence for the duration of the service. The nails were uneven and then tan was patchy - we had to touch it up with our own tan when we got home. We also did not leave the salon until approximately 2.30pm, not 1pm as promised. This was supposed to be a great experience and time for the bride to relax before her big day, but it was the complete opposite - very disappointing.
Today was my first visit and it won't be my last. Such a beautiful place to be. The staff were all lovely and super friendly. The pedicure was delightful and my toes look all pretty painted. Iv told my daughter, sil in law and niece that we all need to go together for a pamper next month !ServicesPedicure
Absolutely loved my treatment today .. can't believe I'm 59 years young and never had a pedicure! It was well worth the wait and I will be back.. coffee was excellent too! Booked in again for myself and a friend
I had high hopes when I went for my pedicure - a treat from my son and dsughter in law, and I did enjoy the experience but I have a few reasons for only giving 3 stars. The girl who carried out my pedicure was very pleasant but I got the impression she was inexperienced. She struggled with applying the gel polish- not least because she was using an almost empty bottle- I pointed this out but she just smiled and continued to struggle with accessing the polish from the bottle. When it came to curing and finishing the treatment she again seemed unsure and actually one of my nails has no shine and has marked easily. The appointment was to last an hour but took almost an hour and a half! That wouldn't normally matter but my daughter in law and I had booked pedicures together and could only be offered one after the other. When I was taken to the chair she was also seated beside me soon after which we appreciated. They filled the foot sink and got her to put her feet in - this gave us the impression she may not actually have to wait until mine was finished. We were wrong- her feet were in the water for about 1 and a half hours! Noone ever explained what was happening and the girl doing my treatment had no idea ,when asked, who would be carrying out the second apt. In the end my daughter in law decided not to proceed with hers as her feet were now very wrinkly and she had waited for an hour and a half. When we explained this the girl at the desk said, "well at least your feet are clean!" Not a very professional response! I feel better communication was needed. They should not have put my daughter in laws feet in water until her apt started. Keeping a client informed of how the apt will proceed and exactly what is happening if there is a wait is important. When a polish is almost empty it should be replaced. Any query or difficulty expressed by a client should be addressed professionally. I'm afraid I won't be returning nor recommending this salon - I'm sorry this is the case as we were really looking forward to our treatments.

Unfortunately it was a terrible outcome, my daughters nail extensions were poor. One fell off within a day and when I mentioned it to the receptionist she was not at all engaging. On her event three more fell off, definitely will never be back
