Simpsons is the best fish and chips I've had. However, the last two times I've been were not the same quality as when I first tried them a couple of years ago. I'm guessing their reputation is making them extremely busy and they're having to cope with it. But still, it's a shame. Standards aren't the same. Like their curry sauce was amazing but now its like every other chip shop curry sauce. I still love their fish and chips though. I love that have responsibly sourced fish and serve things in cardboard rather than plastic or Styrofoam. Pricing isn't bad either, especially with their great reputation, you'd think they'd hike up the prices but they haven't. There are a couple of expensive items on the menu, but your standard fish and chip food is very reasonably priced for the quality you get. 
If you're after a great fish and chips and don't mind waiting 10-15 mins this is the place. May seem like you've got a long queue of people ahead of you but they're speedy and get through the orders quick.

Only ever go when the gluten free day is on.  Excellent fish and chips.  If you eat in, which we always do, the service is a bit slow, even if there's not many in the take away area.  Never can understand that.  But if you're prepared for that, is a good place to eat.

Excellent fish and chips - it does get busy so you can wait for 5-10 mins at peak time as the fish is made to order. The restaurant is also very good.

Wanted to try simpsons because heard it was really good. The staff are great. But the food was not so.had fish and chips twice with a large curry sauce the fish tasted great some of the best fish I’ve had but the size was tiny. Chips were not great. They were limp and not crispy and pale. The curry sauce just tasted weird not like curry sauce. For the price you pay you expect something abit more special than what we got.

Have eaten there a number of times over the past few weeks and the food has always been excellent. Staff are always very friendly and the restaurant is well kept, clean and looked after.
