Story

Best known as the old Alfonso's Place...is a Portuguese restaurant behind the train station in Leamington spa serving traditional English breakfasts and traditional Portuguese and English lunch and dinners. We are open from 7.45am. On Mondays we close at 2.30pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 3.00pm, Fridays 3.30pm and 4.00pm on Saturday and Sundays. We are also open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 7.00pm and the kitchen closes at 9.00pm but we are more than happy to accommodate you with drinks until late so you can continue to enjoy your evening. Although booking guarantees you a seat at the time you wish to dine, it is not mandatory as we will be more than happy to fit you in on any surprise visit. We also cater for any parties that we are fortunate enough for you to book with us.

So come and join us in our friendly restaurant were we serve freshly made to order meals and our service always comes with a big FREE smile!

Or if you're too busy to join us in our restaurant then you can always phone up and collect an order or just pop in for a takeaway meal. Unfortunately we do not deliver or accept credit cards.

Nice family feel bistro. Great food and service. Authentic Portuguese food but also traditional British menu available. Hidden spot, know to locals, I found by accident. Try steaks and finish with natas and small coffee. Can reccomend.  Parking: Dedicated parking for guests

Excellent place, nice Portuguese food and more important, extraordinary people. I will visit again for sure.  Kid-friendliness: Family environment.   Parking: Parking in front and based on info provided, free for the restaurant customers. 

Really friendly staff and the food was absolutely delicious. We both had the Francesinha and it was so good. I'm definitely going back to try a breakfast. Highly recommended.

Great place for a really good meal. Have tried a lot of different dishes & all are superb.  Parking: Several spots just outside the restaurant.

Great place for a breakfast! Would highly recommend for a Saturday/Sunday morning. Food comes out fast, taste great and reasonably priced. Also has the option to create your own which is always good.  Kid-friendliness: High chairs for babies.  Parking: Parking right out front.  Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, access for all. 

Hidden away cosy cafe come restaurant.  Very polite attentive service. Food is good and plentiful.  If you are looking for something homely this is a great place to come.

Place was cold good quality ingredients but served like warm, shame with a little more attention it could have been great.Food: 3/5

Amazing restaurant and very tasty home made meals. Their harsh brown are way better than most I have tasted. The kids enjoyed their meals too.
