We dealt with Dom from Simon Barnes Ltd who was very professional and efficient throughout. He kept us informed of the fitting dates and they came when they said they would. They fitted new carpet throughout our flat and put in a new laminate kitchen floor. Everything is perfect. Thank you Dom for all the advice and to your carpet fitters who were excellent.

My parents have been using Simon Barnes Carpets for decades and I can see why. From the very first time we visited the shop, we felt completely at ease and we were given sound advice. We're extremely pleased with our carpet and flooring, which was fitted to highest standard throughout, and we would highly recommend Simon Barnes to anyone.
I recently instructed Simon Barnes and family to fit my carpet & vinyl in a Property I’ve been renovating, and I’m delighted to say I couldn’t be happier that I used them. From start to finish the service was outstanding, Dom came out and measured up, talked me through their plan and gave me confidence from the off. I then visited their shop in West Kirby to go through options of what would suit my needs best, Dom and Dawn were brilliant, advised me what they thought best, and we proceeded to book in the work. The carpet was laid to an exceptional standard and so was the vinyl. The property was left clean and tidy, which I personally think is a sign of a good company. I couldn’t recommend them enough, the whole family were great, and I’ll be using them again in future.
I had a visit from Simon Barnes Carpets to measure up and get a quote just before the Lockdown. As soon as they were able to work again, I received a call and placed the order. Good job they were prompt in getting in touch, as I got the last roll of the colour I wanted, it has since been discontinued. Their work in installing it in my hall, stairs and bathroom was exemplary. Cutting grooves in the underlay, and providing extra grippers, they were able to channel some cabling underneath with only small rises noticeable underfoot. The finished job looks neat and classy. The quality of the aforementioned underlay is great too. A friend had said “make sure you get a good underlay”, but I hadn’t really hadn’t given that much thought.The one they used is fantastic, it really does feel soft and springy! I wholeheartedly recommend them, as friendly, informative, and helpful staff, with excellent attention to detail in their workmanship.
We were recommended Simon Barnes when looking for a company to fit out pretty much our whole house after a pretty big renovation. We'd had a terrible experience with Tapi Carpets previously so we were prepared to spend a little more for a better experience and we wanted to try and support local too. The reality was that the carpets from Simon Barnes were a similar price but much better quality. And so was the customer service. They gave us lots of help choosing what we wanted and were really knowledgeable about what would work best in the areas we were doing. We ended up having carpet in most areas and some nice laminate in the office. Simon Barnes have their own fitters which was probably the key difference compared to Tapi. There was no rushing, they turned up on time and worked quickly and efficiently. Dom, James and the team were just great, and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them. We had a few issues along the way, all our fault, and they were brilliant in accommodating our changes. We can't recommend them highly enough. We recently had our entire ground floor of our house fitted with Amtico luxury vinyl flooring and we couldn’t be happier with the final result. It looks stunning. Dominic in the shop was very accommodating and the 2 guys that came to skim and fit the floor were professional and I was amazed at the lengths they went to to ensure a superb fit. We have previously had carpet fitted to our bedrooms and lounge and have always received great service from a lovely family run local business. Certainly recommend.
Absolutely quality service from start to finish. Dom came out and measured up the day after calling and then I ordered the carpets off them, it took under a week, as they need to order them in, but straight away the next day, they came out and fitted my stairs within 90 minutes. Polite and genuinely nice guys. Top quality service!! Will be using again.
I have been using Simon Barnes carpets for many years now and would not go anywhere else for my flooring. The service is fantastic from viewing the vast range of samples in the shop to the quick and thorough fitting they do. A great family run business!! Highly recommend.
We had a Corma carpet fitted and within two months a patch appeared in front of the settee. Although the carpet now looks awful. Simon stated there is nothing wrong with it.
