AVOID! That's all I can say. Completely useless and such a waste of time. If there is a 0 star, that will be the rating I will give! Called the surgery as I am very worried about my health. Called at around 11.30am, waited for 30mins, only to be told to call back again as the "afternoon appointments are only open after 12.30,". And assured us we can come in to see doctor. Called at 12.30, waited for 30mins, only to be told, "no you cannot see the GP. It will only be via call and can you upload pictures? Earliest schedule is at 4pm." When asked if can we just go to A&E as we are really worried, they told us " no, not possible as need referral from GP. If it is an emergency, call 111." We waited till 4pm, only for "doctor" to tell us, "I don't know what's wrong, please go to A&E. Good luck!" Seriously! you couldn't have told us that 4hrs ago??
Through no fault of my own I have Mental Health problems diagnosed by psychiatric. All of them can't deal with it. Make false promises talk to me like a 6 year old yes I have problems but treat me with respect as I would you!! The only person in the both practice's who is kind and caring isn't a Dr but Sandy who takes the blood. The Dr's should take on her attitude towards patients with difficult problems sorry but this is so true. They avoid my situations which have built up and up. Wish Dr Taylor was still with the practice
Well, A doctor at this surgery diagnosed my mum with a terminal disease. I've always had a massive respect for Dr. Plant and his abilities to help and support me through the years, he is absolutely fantastic and he's seen me grow and move through this world after it fell apart for me when mum died, I've had one or two others whom I can't remember who were very understanding, This is why this is so bad, this surgery has fallen far from where it was, I can't speak to MY doctor, they refer you constantly to 111, they don't listen and it is now beyond worthwhile trying to stay with this surgery. The doctors don't listen when you say you can't walk due to a severe back injury and then tell you to yet again, call 111. They seem to take a profound pleasure in making peoples lives even harder than they already are. They simply don't care and this is painful for me to say, just use anywhere else, absolutely anywhere. Sincerely, Man who can't walk.
Since the pandemic I can only say there has been one doctor from the practice itself that has helped me everyone else from the practice I either can't see or my own doctor doesn't even give me 3 minutes on the phone with a low temp of 34 & says not to worry unless it is 31. The other doctors that have helped me have been locums from other surgeries. It really upsets me as it has taken me a long time to admit that I do have some undiagnosed health issues that need dealing with & it hasn't felt like I have got the support needed. With my Asmtha review 6 months late & over the phone & being told off for being 10 minutes early for a blood test but the text message for phone calls is they can be 20 mins early or late. I'm at my witts end with this surgery & currently dealing with my referrals to private today. I'd rather pay than waste anymore time not getting anywhere fast.
They told me I will be referred to a specialist. 8 months later it turned out it they never referred me, no such event was registered. The front desk phone team can be rude sometimes, and their lunchtime often extends well beyond what the automated response reads out.
I asked the receptionist to make me an appointment to see a doctor and the appointment was made for today. Very prompt.
Although I agree with some of the negative reviews on here. I have to be honest. In my experience with this surgery, especially Dr Plant, has been life saving. ***PLEASE READ ON*** I understand the frustration of the receptionists being a barrier to getting seen by a GP. I think they need training in compassion. I think the GP's are only there to make that initial assessment. Prescribe medication and see how it goes or refer you on. So don't expect miracles. In my view if you feel that your issue is of enough concern. Then express that when you make an appointment. I think the receptionists need to get training. They are very sharp. I wouldn't say rude. It's more a passive aggression then anything else. And a lack of patience. I won't get into details. But I think we all need to also have compassion for the plight of our GP's and their team. Try to understand that they have a lot on their plates too.
Absolutely awful. I do not recommend going to this practice. They don't respect your wishes, your can't get through on their phones, they won't see you in person . No matter how hard things have been for me my DOCTOR doesn't care and isn't their for me. If you value your mental health do not use this place.
I joined the doctor here because it has a high rating on Google. What happened to doctors listening to the patients? I think I know when I have a problem. Im going to move to a different surgery. The receptionist had not one bit of empathy or customer service was like she is doing you a favour .... It's your job as front desk to be polite and professional especially for a gp surgery. Not impressed with the doctors support NHS has really changed since I was a kid. If you're weathly at least you can stand a chance for medical care the doctor needs to listen especially if you are a new patient I'm fed up with doctors saying there is nothing wrong whilst I am in pain and 3 years later they say oh yeah I see what the problem is now!!!! Work with the patients FFS maybe you can learn something from them
You can never get through on the phone. It's very difficult to get an appointment and when you do it's a real lottery to get a competent doctor. Many of them fail to perform basic diagnostic tests when your ill prior to covid pandemic. It multiple visits over several months for them to diagnose I had pneumonia. On the 1st 3 visits they just said get some rest. Didn't take my pulse, temperature, listen to my breathing, check 02. On 4th visit when I pushed for it they finally did. The culture seems completely wrong at this practice
