Nice fish and not too greasy a real complaint I've had with other places, but not this one! - Being from Yorkshire I wanted a 'fish butty' and tried despite the regional dialect differences, somehow ended up with fish in a burger bun as they didn't have any teacakes sorry I don't know the local dialect, hence the missing 5th star. However it was tasty, and I'd certainly visit again if I ever happened to be in the area
Excellent haddock and chips that we usually share as there is too much for one of us to eat. Very good value and quality. Highly recommended. Usually a short wait but we'll worth it for fresh cooked food.
Walked in, 3 staff serving 1 other person being served. No acknowledgement , must have been there waiting for over 5 minutes and still no “hello, be with you in a minute,” or anything. Walked out with not one word, no smile and no food!!! Went into town and had lovely food from Seagull's Ocean Boat and greeted immediately on entry by 2 servers.
Ordered 2 x Fish, Chips & Curry Sauce. The 1 star was for the Curry Sauce and the lady who served me - she was very pleasant. I must say the Fish was very dry, it disintegrated into minute bits, the batter was thick, geasy and hard. Overall the worst Fish I have ever had - anywhere - period. My wife had a Mini Fish and she said it was as bad. The Chips were OK but weren't great. Overall - terrible and even worse I could not find a telephone number to let them know the problems first before posting this review. My wife told me to go there - next time I shall go where I want!
Been ages since I got anything from here as I was disappointed, but glad to say the five fifty for a large fish and chips was money well spent. Chips have improve. Friendly service and decent food
Never been, but the foods standard agency said that the food hygiene rating is a zero, do avoid and make this business go bankrupt.
Busy fish and chip shop when I arrived and not surprised as the quality was excellent. Staff very friendly with speedy service.
