I’ve always wanted to try this Thai restaurant The restaurant is located in an isolated area of Deansgate Cinema. It’s a good place to eat after watching the movie. The seats are spacious and comfortable, but the air conditioning is not enough, so it may get a little hot in summer The curry with boiled prawns and Tom Yum Goong is so delicious, with just the right amount of sourness and spiciness. In addition, the spicy shredded pork rice is recommended. The sauce is delicious. After the meal, the staff would come over and ask for advice on the food. It turns out that the boss and the chef’s wife are both from Bangkok, Thailand. The family has been running this restaurant for several years The taste retains the Thai cooking method while suiting local tastes appropriately. At least I think it tastes better than chain stores
Very small restaurant but came quite late so we managed to get a seat. Service was really nice and they were just the right amount of attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and you could see the chef cooking right in front of you too which added to the atmosphere. My main complaint is the portion size compared to the price... Particularly the curry. There just isn't enough of it especially when compared to the rice which is particularly annoying because the sauce was so good! Had to order 2x portions to try to satisfy the craving which is the only reason my rating is a 4 and not a 5. Just a word of warning - the menu is quite short so depending on preferences you may not find what you're craving we did but we looked it up beforehand.
Such a friendly Thai restaurant! Sat just behind the Main Street but worth the tiny detour! I ordered … Sun dried pork Minced chicken salad - laab gai And a mixed meat dish with rice All amazing and authentic flavours! Will be back
I have been to many Thai restaurants in the UK. This dish is really tasty and authentic, especially the sauce. The services are exceptional for me. Not too much and not too bad. I recommend this shop.Food: 5/5
Take a look at this fantastic lunch Prawn tempura , delicious sweet succulent prawns in a light crispy batter Pad Kra Praow Gai with Kaaw Suay and Khai Daow, deliciously spicy stir fried chicken, chillies & holy basil Laab Gai, beautiful & fresh Thai chicken salad Finished with Mango & sticky rice as recommended and it was delicious and definitely a great recommendation Fantastic authentic Thai food all cooked fresh to order by the owner Chef May ‍ If you're in Manchester and love Thai food, you have to check out Chef May here at @siamsmiles
I am Thai. This place serves authentic taste Thai food cooked by Thais. I could see food contains a lot original ingredients like vegetables they used. Not only food that tastes so good the people i talked to are all thai nice both front, back staff. Something to be aware of is the portion may look a bit small in the price range but compare to taste and ingredients it makes sense. Also I think they fresh cook portion by portion so food takes longer time. But we know we have quality and authentic taste thai food in the end.
Very expensive for quality of food! Service was friendly but restaurant was freezing and quite cramped tables. Food was poor to be completely honest. Side salad was embarissing on the side of plate, portions were small and accompanying lettuce was brown. In one of the dishes pictured instant noodles were included not rice. Two people with no drinks was £70!
THE BEST PAPAYA SALADwithPlara in Manchester. Trust me, if you want proper Thai food this place is where you must visit. My friend and I decided this is our usual place when we need that spice hit. It’s a must!!!Food: 5/5
Visited this place with my partner for dinner. - Dried strip pork £6.95 It's a good side dish before your main dish come, taste good with the dipping sauce that came together. It would taste plain without sauce. The sauce is a bit spicy, so don't dip too much if you don't eat spicy foods often. - Thai milk tea £4.25 It taste very authentic, the colour of the drink is definitely a proper Thai milk tea. - Kao saam sahai £14.95 Crispy pork belly, BBQ pork, crispy duck with rice This is a rice dish, came with a bowl of soup. I liked this rice dish but still there were some down parts. The crispy pork wasn't crispy at all and taste soggy. There's also bone on it, not sure if it's Thai style, but I never had bone in crispy pork in any other places. Duck slices were very thin. - Kaw Pad £14.95 Fried rice with the meat of your choice We choose pork belly, it taste good but there's not much special I can recall about this dish. Overall the flavor of the foods were good, but consider the price with the portions we got, I'd say it's a bit overpriced. Staff were very friendly.
BEST THAI RESTAURANT IN MANCHESTER I said it and i will say it again!!! This is as close as you can get for authentic thai food in Manchester. I have tried a few Thai restaurants and nothing has ever come close! I LOVE their Tom Yum, it is perfectly sour and with a great kick to it. Other restaurants do it too thick, too salty, not sour and spicy enough. But this is the real deal! Their noodles are chewy and goes well with the broth. We also ordered the pork blood broth noodles, which I forgot the Thai name. If you have never had it the idea might be scary, but you will not taste the blood at all, just deep and rich broth that will make you want to finish it. I expected the grilled pork and deep fried tofu to be a bigger portion to be honest, shocked me a bit when I saw it coming. But they did the sides good as well, well seasoned pork with spicy tangy sauce, tofu with rich soy taste. Their pineapple juice is amazing as well, taste like fresh pineapple, no extra seasoning, no chemical taste. Just refreshing summer drink like what I will get in Thailand! I just wish the portions were bigger, even the noodles are not enough to fill me, a not so big eater. The sides have much smaller portions compared to the photos on the menu. I would expect bigger plates with such price!
