The bus drivers are always super friendly and fares are cheap. I found the bus times convenient for me. The buses are quite old, but service has been great!
Had a fantastic experience on the open top bus between Scarborough North and south bays. Peter cocney gave my family a lift to the south side ,allowed us to jump off ,use a cash point and pay him on his return journey, lovely chap. Made our day!
This bus was a really good way to get from one end to the other,nice driver good service
This bus company is a joke. The 2.15 from Filey bus station has let us down 3 consecutive weeks . It doesn't turn up or if it does we are left standing there because there is a supposed problem with that particular bus. The owner of this company ought to be keeping a careful eye on the drivers. The 15 minutes past 3 is taken off for a school run which we understand. But what's happened to the 2 .15. Shocking treatment from this company.
HORRIBLE experience on 16 July 2019, 18:15 Filey-Scarborough bus LX03OTH, Bus stop: Filey 1 bus to Scarborough from Filey was late. 2 driver refused to give correct change for £3 I handed over for £2.20 single ride fare. Said he owed me 10p next time. 3 driver was very rude & disrespectful. When I complained about lack of fare change, he wanted to throw me off the bus. Got up from his seat to physically do that. He abandoned his intentions only when I convinced him of the need to catch the last connecting bus to Leeds at Scarborough station. Just imagine, I could have been stranded in Scar. till next day! 4 driver called me "not a nice person" & threatened to not pick me up next time. Driver grudgingly offered me the change he owed towards the end of trip when he saw me making notation of bus details to complain later on. Truly never had experienced such an APPALLING, disgusting bus service in all my life! DRIVER SHOULD DEFINITELY BE REPRIMANDED & taught anger-control management, as well as proper & respectful customer service. I will complain to Scarborough City Council if no response to my complaint follows from Shoreline Suncruisers office.
Disgusted by their service today. firstly got the bus at the Sands and asked the driver for 2 adults and a 2 year olds return.............was told £12! shocked! repeated it but still the same. I got the money out and paid, aware of the long queue behind me. As I was putting the pushchair on the rack he called me and told me it was only £8.....because he didn't understand what I said! At about 2.05pm, return from The Spa... I was first on and showed the ticket, I had the folded pushchair, followed by my 2 year old and then my wife holding our 5 month old baby. The pushchair wouldn't fit into the rack so I moved to let my wife and child up the stairs.....as they stepped up the driver took off....around the roundabout, throwing all of us about as we went up the stairs. I do not know why he was in such a hurry, we were the only one's on the bus. Maybe his shift was finishing. Whatever, his complete disregard for our safety absolutely disgusted me. On top of this, why is not made plain at the stop that they charge more than the Scarborough District Service? They have the same number, 109, displayed on their service.
Always late by a few minutes. A few times the bus either never turned up or it's turned up 25-30 minutes late Driver always drives erratically too and practically throws you off the seats as he brakes/takes corners
Stick to the East Yorkshire buses, a little bit more expensive, however you feel safer on their buses, plus drivers are more curtious and professional.
