I came to this pub on route to the airport after a wedding with my friends today. This pub is amazing. The staff were absolutely lovely as well. The food came piping hot, the batter was absolutely perfect on the fish and chips. I wish I could go here regularly. Best pub food I've ever had hands down! Do not hesitate in coming here. Can't wait to visit Scotland again so I can return!
Super friendly and welcoming staff. We were hoping for a Sunday roast but this isn’t ever on the menu apparently. The steak and ale pie was recommended instead. It was delicious! We were lucky to get the last table in the snug where dogs are allowed. 'Phone ahead for a table as they were turning people away who hadn't booked. We definitely recommend this place.

Lovely food , very relaxed atmosphere, really nice staff
Fabulous supper. Didn't take pictures as too hungry . I had the Duo of Fishcakes YUM and Jan had Seafood Gratin. Also YUM. The staff were lovely - friendly, helpful and efficient. Beer recommendation was excellent. We will be back.
We visited on 19th December for lunch. We were advised that we could use either the festive menu, the main menu. the light menu or any combination we wanted. Three of us had the light haddock in batter. It was delicious. Although Limekilns is around 20 minutes from home, I would consider going back. We booked late, and they kindly squeezed us into the snug. It was a bit cool but with the cost of heating, we didn't complain.
Nice cosy pub with friendly staff and great food
Beautiful meal with friendly staff. Best to book at the weekend. We had the haggis bonbons to share as a starter. They were delicious as was the sauce accompanying them. My husband had the steak pie and said the meat melted in his mouth. I had the pear, Stilton and bacon salad and it was so nicely flavored. We had chocolate cheesecake and rhubarb and ginger crumble for dessert and both were gorgeous. Would definitely come back here.
We had to come from Austria to Scotland to get a perfect crème brulée. Classic food but with a personnaly note. We'll be back for sure!
