Came here on the last day of the year 2022 and what a brilliant way to finish the last lunch of the year! Delicious delicacies and very filling. The portions are pretty filling and don't miss their desserts! I can come back to Culross just for its amazing food. The toilets are clean and maintenance is very good. The place is Ambient. And the staff are very patient and courteous. Thank you for making our visit so fulfilling.
Loved it. We just walked in but was extremely lucky to get a table inside, although there is a large marquee in the car park as it's such a popular place. They had a three courses option on the menu including steak for £29 so we went for that.
Visited on Saturday afternoon. Place seemed to be run by young instagram types. Asked at the bar for a drink, said they would bring it over, but then continued to serve other people and never got my drink. I would recommend employing people who have experience and actually want to be there.
Perfect historic pub in a picturesque town. Would give 4.5 stars. Only quarrel was the lack of flavour in some of the foods. We ordered a rotisserie chicken meal, and the sirloin steak, both were wanting of seasoning. The sticky toffee pudding, however, was delightful. Altogether a great experience!
The food was amazing but portions were quite large. Was quite full after so don’t worry about starvation lol. Also the staff was very nice!
Specific stop @ Culross touring round Scotland. This is the only pub. No dogs. Was packed so had to sit outside under the marquee in the car park anyway with or without dog. Was freezing. Many walked away. £10 for a wrap & chips. One came up stone cold. Tourist trap. Bit sad as seemed warm & friendly indoors. Lovely staff. Should have checked out the 2/3 coffee shops instead or had a cheese & pickle sandwich in our motorhome.
Really good food and friendly service. Nice painted ceilings and real fire give a warm feeling to the place.
My absolute favorite place to eat…good food, good service, good atmosphere. Be sure to book ahead…this place is very popular with the locals!
Really lovely little pub in the heart of a lovely town. The staff are all really friendly, have visited a few times both with my boyfriend and a larger group of friends. The food is brilliant at a reasonable price - would recommend any of the pies, but the chicken ham and leek is my favourite !
Lovely characterful pub, friendly staff and good food in picturesque village.
