A nice small pub on a wet overcast day, which makes excellent use of the outside area on hot days in summer with various bands and events. There is a quiet garden at the back and a childrens play area which is part of the main event area, allowing parents to sit down while keeping an eye on the children. The bar is friendly and I enjoy having a nice drink there.
True character of an English pub, this place is great for a scrumptious pub meal. Tucked away near Par, Cornwall, UK, it is walking distance to the beach. The pub itself is Devine, with its decor covered in memorabilia along the walls and wooden beams. The owner is friendly, and hospitality is perfect. Will definitely visit again during our stay.
Had lunch here yesterday. Very accommodating, found us a table straight away, even though they were almost fully booked. Good food I had 2 x Mac cheese and attentive service. Funny part was being called a “blow-in” by a man in a skirt, on our way out
Went to the ship inn when I was on holiday. Lovely staff. Good service. Lovely location with beautiful garden and the Carvery was absolutely Delicious and a good portion. Dog Friendly.Service: 5/5
Visited for Sunday lunch. Available in three sizes. We had the regular and a small for my daughter. Everything was piping hot. Great choice on the bar too.
Nice large beer garden, plenty of parking, dog friendly and a great location 2 mins from the beach. Food was really nice and service excellent plenty of covered seating in beer garden we have 2 large dogs so this is a real bonus.Service: 5/5
Visited Boxing Day, so no food available, but friendly staff and good selection of lagers, beers, splits and mixers, including an eye-catching display for botanical tonics. Dog-friendly if your dog is well-behaved *and* on a lead.
Friends wedding reception. Area we used was well laid out but would have made more sense if plates were next to savoury which in my opinion should be before dessert. Food ok.
Food terrible chicken dry chuck it was last Tue or wed hunters chicken was. Dry a lot of money for nothing steak pie not nice all pastry no filling we even cleared away the plate's after we finished
Had a meal there last night, the lasagne was poorly made with what appeard to be a pureed meat and was bland, my wife had steak pie and said it was tasteless, spoke with the young manager who apologised and offered to resolve the issue, I suggested that the cook needs to change especially as the tourist season is upon us, we spent £50 with drinks but was not good value,
