We were so lucky to find this pub on our holiday, tempted in by the dog friendly signs dogs allowed on the terrace and in the beer garden. The staff are very welcoming, attentive and friendly, the food was all cooked fresh to order and everything was delicious including the puddings. The inside eating area was lovely and cosy too. We returned for Sunday lunch and again for our final meal. Would 100% recommend and we are already planning a return next year!
Been meaning to go here for a meal for awhile and managed to call in this week.. The place was empty but that was OK. Was greeted by the young lady behind the bar and shown to our seats. The deco is really cosy and plenty of seating.. Menu is vast range and prices not too dear. I ordered the chicken with cheese and leek sauce and hubby ordered gammon. When it was served it came on big plates and was full.. Couldn't believe the size.. Food was absolutely delicious.. And will definitely be calling in again. Highly recommended Parking: Big car park with plenty of parking
The choice was very good, something for everyone. The food was excellent as was the service. My only negative was the alcohol price , £25 for a bottle of red wine in a pub is somewhat steep. I would return though and do recommend it.
Whilst sitting in the restaurant looking at the open fire the atmosphere is set. The food for a pub was exceptional with a varied menu. The staff were attentive from the time you entered the door. This was a nice place to spend the evening. Vegetarian options: There was a separate section on the menu for vegetarian meals. Kid-friendliness: Like most pubs with a separate restaurant they will always welcome families. Parking: There are free marked bays for parking. Wheelchair accessibility: All sections including the front door had wheelchair access as it is on the ground floor. I can only speak for the male toilets but this is wheelchair friendly.
Hospitality was great pleasant staff food was delicious well presented very appetising enjoyed sitting in the beer garden in the sun thank you for hospitality will highly recommended
Great pub! We Sunday roast dinners and they were spot on. Staff are friendly and very attentive
Lovely decor when we walked in, not what we expected. Food was tasty although slightly cold and waitress came very quickly to clear plates away, quite pricey too
Went for lunch. Had very good meal with friendly and helpful staff. Couple of minor negatives, slowish service and a steak not cooked to request but great home cooked chips. But these negatives would not stop me from returning, so would recommend. Didn't have one, but is dog friendly Vegetarian options: Did have a range of veg options on menu
Had a great meal and drink. Food was very reasonable, well cooked, and a good portion. Beer was good. Lass that served us was fab. Will return on our next visit. Dogs were welcome, too. If you like reasonably priced, well cooked pub grub, this is a great place.
We booked this for our evening meal going by Google reviews alone. We weren't disappointed. Lovely pub, homely feel, attentive staff and great food. The landlord Taz, was very welcoming. Highly recommend!
