Came upto Scotland with the family for a week. Takeout for the 1st night. Found a menu for here in our chalet, excellent variety of food to choose from. We ordered Kebabs, Calzone, Munch box, Curry and Lasagne. The Nan breads are huge but soo nice. The kebab was fresh not greasy like others, Lasagne was filling with chips underneath it. The Chicken Tikka Malasa was the best takeout curry we've had! Full of flavour, great size portion. Would recommend it.
Possibly the worst Indian meal we've ever had! Where do I start? The poppadoms were stale, naan bread dry and tasteless, the "medium" korma was bland, I'm not sure what the tikka masala was supposed to be but didn't taste anything like it! The rice comes in little doggy poo bags for some reason but as others have said it looks microwaved. Needless to say, the food went in the bin! And let's talk about the prices! Nearly £11 for a tikka masala... anyone would think I'm dining in! The takeaway itself needs some refurbishment as it doesn't look very inviting when you walk inside! I called the takeaway to complain but the owner would not accept anything I said and offered no resolution. All in all, awful food and bad customer service! Avoid!!!
Just had a tandoori mixed grill takeaway. It was by far the worst i`ve ever had anywhere. £20 and most of it went in the bin, it was revolting, to say the least. Never again!! The one star is solely for the packaging.

I've used this takeaway for about 5 years now and the Indian food is always consistently good. I have it delivered and the gentleman who brings it is always friendly and chatty. The prices are what you would expect in a small rural town, and the delivery charge is only £2 to the Dalbeattie area. It is always good to bear in mind it is not a Restaurant, so don't expect Restaurant quality and presentation. It's just a good Takeaway and serves it's purpose well. I'll continue to use it and would recommend it to others.
Ordered a chicken burger meal and a cheese burger. The food was undercooked, dry and tasteless. There was no salad or sauce on either of the burgers. The cheese burger had frozen chunks in it and the chicken burger was just processed meat which was tasteless. Would not recommend.

After reading the other reviews I was looking forward to trying Shezan as a treat to round off our holiday in Dalbeattie. Things started to go wrong the moment I rang to order. The one dish in the specials section that my son wanted... .wasn't available 'because they didn't have any'. I asked for a side dish of Takka Dhall. This too was unavailable except only as a full meal. I felt at this point the customer service was disappointing. We waited the hour that were told would be needed to prepare our four curries, rice and two naan breads. On arriving to collect out order it was obviously just at the right time to hear the reassuring "PING" of the microwave, out of sight in the rear kitchen. ET VOILA! The pilau rice came in plastic bags and had obviously reheated in the micro wave. The curries were nothing special, no fresh ingredients were detectable. My son described his Korma as no better than a ready meal from Tesco. My lamb chilli garlic tasted mostly of tomato pureé, excepting for a few slices of green chilli thrown on as a garnish. The baltis were bland. The naan breads, very very disappointing considering their cost. Do not even bother ordering the Peshawari naan. All in all for just under £50 for four mains and two naans our meal was over priced and underwhelming. A sad disappointment, made worse today that I noticed that the change given to me contained a 10cent€ coin instead of a pound. Not recommended
