Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Food always excellent with a varied menu. Premises always clean. Lovely play area for children. Staff extremely pleasant and courteous.

On the whole very pleasant staff, could do with being slightly more attentive to guests after dispatching the menu's, we had to keep flagging a member of staff down firstly to order our food, then for dessert and coffee, that said the food is very nice and we would certainly go back.

First time here and found it to be a lovely old pub, friendly staff and good food. If you want food in a hurry go to MDs, we waited over 40 minutes for ours, but who cares when there is nothing else to do on a cold wet Sunday. Also maybe not your cup of tea if you don't like dogs, everybody seemed to have one, all very well behaved though.

We are regulars here: returning for the friendly staff, superb food and immense portions. Cosy pub restaurant in a stunning setting.

We went for Saturday lunch for my birthday, when we arrived the car park had lots of space, when we entered there were a few tables filled and they gave us a table in the top part next to the window, which is where I would have picked for the view. We are greeted by a friendly waitresses we took our drink order left us for a while and then took our food, our starter came fairly quickly and was really delious (brie wedges) we had a little wait for our mains but it was well worth it, I can highly recommend the cheese and onion pie. We also had a desert which again was very nice but a little pricey for the amount. So if you are looking for a nice traditional restaurant with good view, staff, drinks and home cooked food. I would definitely go here.
