Avoid this jeweller. Earlier this year, we had just got engaged so went looking for a ring. Noticed the signs on this shop which said handmade and bespoke etc etc. Went in and found what we were looking for. Husband and wife team said it was his own design so I paid £900 on my credit card. Something was niggling me about this couple but could not place it. Within 2 weeks the coating on the ring was wearing off. Took it to a local jeweller for an opinion. They said it was poorly made and they would have rejected it. They said it was worth less than half the price. Contacted the owner who refused outright to refund us. Even after supplying details of the Sale of Goods Act 2015 which entitles you to a full refund within the first 30 days, he refused. Enlisted a report from the Institute of Registered Valuers (IRV). Report said the ring was cast on the Isle of Skye in 2006 and was worth just half what I paid. So all they told us - his design etc - was a pack of lies. We drove all the way to Keswick to return the ring in person as we could not trust him. The shop was shut on a Saturday afternoon so left the ring with the Post Office to deliver. He reluctantly agreed finally, to refund the £900. I added on the cost of the IRV report plus postage costs and sent a letter before action (County Court) for the full amount. I was helped by Citizens Advice in resolving this dispute. I also raised a dispute with the credit card company to ensure I did not lose the £900. There is no justifiable excuse for this jeweller to claim the ring was handmade and his own design. It had been cast on Skye for a well known designer 10 years previously. I think that says it all.

We collected my wife's wedding ring today after Anthony had done a complete re-work using some gold from other family pieces. He has done an absolute first class job and she is delighted. Her engagement and eternity rings are currently with him to work his magic on and we have every confidence this very talented craftsman will produce another amazing result. We cannot recommend this business highly enough.

What a gem of a business!! Went in to replace my wedding ring I lost a few years ago. Just wanted something simple made from scratch by a local business in a part of the country my wife and I love. Not only was the service personal and just utterly brilliant, but they managed to have it ready the following day, our silver wedding anniversary. Just love these guys. Long may your business thrive. Took a gold ring for resizing. Absolutely fabulous service, left a message on the answer machine (they rang straight back after serving a customer), said it would be ready in a few days (and it was). Could not fault the service nor the quality of the work - I would recommend them anytime!!!.

Anthony made us the most beautiful engagement ring. He took time helping us choose, and really listened to our thoughts and ideas. His work is timeless and invested with a passion and craft that's rare these days. We felt in very safe hands and will be returning for our wedding rings.
