I attended a jobsfair on 21 Feb at Town Hall & was angered that was filming going on without client consent,NOR did they alert me when I "entered" the Town Hall. I take a dim view to privacy and data breaches. This company who ran this were"The Job Fairs"from Norwich who are claim that this filming was being done by a local TV station.I have contacted the Town Hall countless times to ask for the name of this TV station and for an explanation,but they will NOT reply regarding this.As for "The Job Fairs", they 'claim' that because no one complained AT the time, that this means no one else had an issue.Really? I know for a fact that SOME people left early because of this. THAT 'MAKES' IT A PROBLEM! Also, complain AT the time, don't leave early and THEN complain, as I did. IT WILL BE POINTLESS! I had this event ruined by this privacy intrusion and I most certainly had NO intention of speaking to a stall holder for fear that this person with the camera was filming and/or listening. So, I "may" have missed out on a possible job thanks to having to leave early.Do you see the hypocrisy there? ! Nick White from"The Job Fairs" in Norwich claims NO data or privacy laws were breached. Really? ! I left very quickly"BECAUSE"I value my privacy! This WAS an intrusion! if, however, they feel the 'necessity' to film, then tell us BEFORE we attend so we can avoid this if we wish. Don't spring this on us AT the event ! ! I asked the council for specific answers and they had the audacity to pass my phone number (without permission) to the company concerned. I have NO desire to speak to this events organiser, I asked "council" to investigate this. So what was the point in my trying to 'protect' my data only to have Sheffield council pass this on. So, I allege that it 'appears' that neither party understand Data and Privacy Laws. Worrying for parties that are working together for a jobsfair! ! If,like me, you hate being filmed and value your privacy and are also worried about data breaches, then keep a close eye on this type of thing and TELL the council staff (AT THE TIME) if you have issues. Don't delay, as "I" did. I will certainly be avoiding future jobfairs if EITHER party are involved. I don't trust EITHER party after MY experience.

Beautiful and historic for the city of Sheffield also with the added bonus of having legends of the city outside the main entrance

It's a functioning council building but it's possible to see the magnificent entrance hall, stairs and small exhibition of Sheffield silver. Worth noting the exterior reliefs, showing the trades that made the city so prosperous. It must rank as one of the most impressive Victorian Town Hall buildings in the country.

Lovely building. Nice seating area outside, and great place outside for some photography. Right in the heart of Sheffield, easy to get to from the Sheffield Station.

Classic town hall that stands out in the centre of the city. The fountains and small square compliment it well. Be sure to pop inside the entrance to see the Italian marble staircase.
