Beautiful cathedral with an excellent cafe. Attended a Mother's Union Mary Sumner Day church service here. It's an annual event andI always look forward to going.Visited onWeekday
Very nice Cathedral free to go in, nice gift shop at the front. Worth a visit if in Sheffield definitely one of the nice places, although a tramp was begging outside asking if I had a spare 90p I could borrow him. Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
It is a wonder how the cathedral has been preserved. All around outside are burial sites with many over 100 years ago. There are tombs inside also of important knights and other Christians with inscriptions to offer details about who was buried within. There are also historic landmarks and dates about the wars and how sheffiled supported the war front. Some of the furniture and artifacts are also on display and well preserved, too. It is an amazing site
Lovely place to visit. Free entrance. There was a friendly priest who gave us a little hystorical tour. Amazing building with lots of interesting history.Visited onWeekday
Beautiful, living cathedral buzzing with activity on a Saturday afternoon. Quite sprawling and modern with event spaces and a suite of rentable offices, modern cafeteria and very helpful staff. It was fun exploring all the nooks, crannies and the crypt. Not your common cathedral.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
As a cathedral I give it 4*. Not its fault really - it was a church given the status of a cathedral - so it does not have the grant stature of a cathedral building. But a lovely place to visit - has an excellent cafe - had an art/craft market on the day I visited. Has the standard from HMS Sheffield.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Found Sheffield Cathedral stunning and so lovely to view. So many interesting area's that are special and meaningful. Gentleman on the door made us feel very welcome and at home. The beautiful stained glass windows are awsome and worth spending time taking a good look at them. The ceiling are facinating as well. It is all so inspiring. No need to purchase a ticket but there are lots of places you can leave a donation to the Cathedra.lt is well worth doing to help with the costs....I have to say.
Visited to see the Craft, Vintage and Makers market at the weekend. However, having never been inside the cathedral before, I was amazed at the architecture and decoration of this wonderful building. Although the craft event was good, I found myself exploring the building and taking in the atmosphere. Well worth a visit as there is so much to observe and appreciate.
Went to the illumination show in 2022. It was beautiful & well-organised. My only issue was the sound level of the music - which was way too high & my partner's hearing aids kept cutting out because of it. However, the church is beautiful & the illuminations quite stunning.Visited onWeekend
