Food is fantastic staff are really nice we went in as a last minute birthday meal due to a bad resturaunt visited earlier that evening. They were very accommodating to us. The staff even joined in to sing happy birthday when the cake was brought out. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
I wouldn't even give a star. Family have been a customer for 30 years. Don't know what's happened since lockdown but the food delivered was tasteless, cold and didn't even resemble what we ordered. Vegetarians and we could taste lamb on the naan bread. Used to really enjoy your food and recommended you to everybody but our last couple experiences have been awful.
Staff always very pleasant. Fantastic food, good prices. Complimentary Baileys and chocs to finish off, and a doggie bag to take home if you can't finish your meal. What more could you want. Highly recommended
The food here is actually very bland. I have used here many times before and will use again because it's convenient. Every dish I've had has the same texture as though they use a base across the board for everything and just make it hotter if required for an individual serving. The staff are very polite and friendly but can be a little slow and docile at the bar.
Good old fashioned Indian food. King prawn starter was superb along with a fantastic chicken mushroom spinach balti slightly hot. All five meals were amazing and a great service provided by the friendly staff.
Arrived at the restaurant at 6:30pm, sat at the table for 15 mins before I had to call someone over to take a drinks order. They didn’t take our food order until 7:45pm!! The food didn’t arrive until 8:40pm!! The only good part was he didn’t charge us for the drinks due to how long we waited for food. First and last time visiting this restaurant. Not once did I approach the bar to order drinks that’s a lie, I don’t know who you’ve got me mixed up with, my table of six were all seated at 6:30pm. No one else I came with arrived at 7:30pm!!
Sat down to stale old poppadum's, sent them back. Not even an apology. They brought the same ones back, just fried for a min or so! Sent back warm stale aldi coke twice! No apology Lol, when i complained it was warm, waiter replied "you said no ice"! lol Grilled Food wasn't good at all. Flavourless, cooked in a tomato sweet sauce?! Lamb was hard and the chicken leg was definitely old. Tough. Rice was covered in water, ruined the dish. Terrible food, not the best attitudes of staff either. Came on a sat evening. Stay clear.
Ordered a set meal for 1. The curry was disgusting no taste and the starter was reheated. I have myself been in the restaurant trade and what they are serving is nothing but a bit of gravy mix some onions throw in loads of sugar which has nothing authentic about it. If you like a proper asian curry avoid this place.
Established 1975 and still going strong - Fabulous indian cuisine. Been a customer for many years and it is by no means my local takeaway. Worth the extra miles. Update June 2018 Popped in for a sit-in following the recent refurb. New shopfront, some brightening and colour via LED fixtures. Lick of paint. Fish tank gone. Food still great.
