Visited the restaurant at Iftar Fast Breaking time during the month of Ramadan. As expected it was very busy. It reminded me of a typical resort, all inclusive canteen. Kids, adults dashing around with small plates of food constantly. An extremely noisy atmosphere. So noisy that it drowned out the traditional Arabic music. It has a large selection of multicultural dishes but sadly all looked extremely bland and nothing really jumped out saying “I must try this” the sauce of the curry dishes lacked texture and density. The best way I can describe most of the dishes is that they were edible. Nothing special. I am of the opinion that they have such a high turnover of customers that it’s a case of “quantity not quality”. £22 per person is quite expensive but I don’t think the quality of the food and atmosphere warrants the price. Maybe, the amount offered just might do. This was my third visit, my 25th wedding anniversary and my son’s 21st birthday were the previous two and each time the food quality, in my experience has decreased. Service was okay, if you can call just removing the plates of the table whilst still eating okay. The car park is quite large but gets full quickly. I think sadly this was my last visit as I didn’t enjoy the food, atmosphere or sadly the service.
Very good restaurant with Huuuuugggeeee Menu. Most of the menu items taste very good. They have live counters, soft drinks, curries, roties, breads, ice creams, etc everything unlimited. Best part is they have a very good parking and a good dining. There is no time slots, so you spend time as much as you want. Under 5 eats free and 22 per adult. Visited May 2024 We enjoyed the food and so did our kid.
Overall, it is alright. Not very good. Not very bad. The food was a bit dry. Even desserts too were dry, for example, cakes ,kebabs, chiken .. but I like the lamb chops, fried rice , sweet chicken mushrooms ..pani puri .. mango lassi was good, tooFood: 3/5
I stumbled upon Shai Masala with a friend. As it was the closest option at the time we thought we’d try it. The building appeared quite nice and the inside was nice and clean. However, we didn't realize it was a buffet until we arrived, which isn't usually my preferred dining choice. Initially hesitant to proceed but continued as we were being seated. The buffet was very extensive, resembling those found at large gatherings or large events, but unfortunately, as predicted it didn't live up to any expectations. We found the food to be lacking in quality, the drink selection was also disappointing, consisting mainly of low quality bulk offerings. The staff's demeanor mirrored the overall experience, unimpressive… They seemed annoyed and fed up as we watched them collecting plate after plate from the tables. Being someone myself who isn't fond of buffets at all and usually avoid them, this experience confirmed my reasoning. The abundance of meat and the frenzied atmosphere of people up and down yo-yoing around with overloaded piled up heaping plates made it difficult to enjoy a leisurely meal. In the end, we paid the bill and opted to leave with a visit to a McDonald's drive thru on the way home. Overall, Shai Masala might appeal to buffet enthusiasts who prioritize quantity over quality and enjoy overloading and stacking plate after plate, but for me, it missed the mark completely. I won't be returning anytime soon or ever for that matter.
One of the more expensive buffets it was £22 per person. Good selection of food and desserts. Plenty of parking out the front. 2nd time I have been here and will visit again soon. Obviously food quality isnt as high standard as proper restaurants but it was decent enough.Food: 3/5
Went for a meal with family. Delicious fresh hot food served. Very clean. All the dishes had their own unique taste. Plenty dishes to try. Staff were polite and very quick at removing used plates. 10/10. We were even allowed to take our ice creams out and have them in the car while driving back. Many buffet places don't allow you to take them out. Amazing delicious food, great clean and tidy place. Very spacious. Vegetarian options: A variety of veg curries, veg rice, noodles, starters. So many options Dietary restrictions: Everything is clearly labelled. You can tell them your dietary needs Parking: They have a large car park. Always room to park no issues there Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
It’s a buffet. A large one. Much like you’d find at an all inclusive resort. So it could be great. But really, it’s quite average. £22 per person means it’s quite expensive and you really need to get your moneys worth. I don’t think I did, but that’s because I thought the food wasn’t that good. The lamb chops were the best thing and you had to go and ask for them. I…wouldn’t go again. Probably a glutton’s paradise. There’s a prayer room if you need too. Plenty of parking outside. Toilets were kept clean, so that’s something. Drinks don’t include your traditional Coke, Pepsi etc. It’s all knock off cheap stuff. Staff are fine. They walk around like zombies and collect your plates as you plough through the dishes. Y’know - I don’t think I really liked it there at all.
This place has improved so much from a few years ago. I can only speak from my experience today 02/06/24, but the food was really fresh and everything tasted good. The lamb chops were really good. There's so many good options to choose from. The staff were also nice and helpful and didn't rush us to leave. The desserts this time were fresh, tasty and unique. The place was clean and the atmosphere nice. For once I felt like I got my money's worth and enjoyed the experience. If you were disappointed on a previous visit, give it another chance!
Great place to go out and have fun and eat. Went with friends and was a great time. Had a wide variety of food. Food wasn't that bad but wasn't restaurant level. Food definitely could have been better especially the stir fry which was not nice at all. Atmosphere and service was fantastic and is a good place to go. The dessert were great and even have a chocolate fountain. Staff were also very friendly. Could definitely be a great buffet but the quality of food isn't up there.
Went with my family on Saturday was quite busy on the counter the person took the details of how many in total as we were 5 been told to wait and will give you a call, keep in mind they were try to accommodate you as soon as a table of your required number of people available you may see the people came after you might go earlier than you and the reason is that the table of required number of people available hope this make any sense. Even it was busy but everything was available to try, all the food trays were full and the staffs were keep filling as soon as the tray about to get empty. A lot of variety of food available of different types, start with salad, starter and so on. Mostly all the food taste were good. My family enjoyed a lot specially the main focus of my kids was chocolate fountain and marshmallows. Staff were very quick to take the used plates and staff and will keeping your table clean. Good experience will definitely recommend to my friends and families. Kid-friendliness: My kids were very happy and enjoyed a lot specially unlimited drinks, dessert and ice cream.
