went to the Shady Oak for Sunday roast but unfortunately it wasn't up to expectations. The vegetables were unrecognisable as they were so soft they had turned to mush! The taste not one I can describe! The roast potatoes were burnt & the taste was of charcoal & the extra large Yorkshire pudding was hard & dry. I can say without doubt we won't be returning !

Nice pub in Peaks. However, sole purpose appears to be to fleece visitors to the area - £24.60 for six orange juice and (draft) lemonades. Would have stayed for further drinks but put off by the prices. Hate to think what they would have charged for food. Their loss 😀

Not a place we will be rushing back to. Limited menu so it should have been easy to get it right. The fish in the fish and chips was over cooked and there was a lot of sinew in the steak.
