Great range of sewing supplies, varied and well priced fabric selection, yarn and needles/ hooks suitable for a range of projects. High quality fabric scissors available at a competitive price, too! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Everything is an alright price, staff are ok but the person serving me at the till seemed rather annoyed with me but I suppose I can’t assume anything. The actual products are amazing! I bought some things a while back and I’m still using them. My family sews and this is a very popular shop for us and we get most of our supplies here. Generally would recommend! :
Went into the shop to buy a zip. The woman kept offering me every zip except the colour I wanted. Even though I gave her the fabric to match it!! I wanted light grey. She gave me green, blue and white. She shrugged her shoulders as she couldn't care less and the price of shirt studs was ludicrous. The girl downstairs in fabrics was nice though. Never again.
Excellent store with a lot of craft items. You can finds items such as ribbons, buttons, needles, threads, fabric material, etc. It is spread over two floors. I went downstairs to purchase some dress material. They have a variety of choice and the customer service was good.
I have visited this shop on a few occasions since relocating to Leeds and each visit has been disappointing. I find one particular staff member extremely rude and unapproachable on the top floor. If you ask her a question it is almost as if she is doing you a favour. She has no customer skills whatsoever and also sold me the wrong item and insisted that it is correct. There is also a tendency to pick and choose which customers are served first despite waiting periods of time to ask a query to purchase an item and they will also decide which side of the till you can ask your questions and be served. They have no real system of serving people there and the customer service is deplorable and unacceptable. There are other haberdashery shops in Leeds which I would urge customers to use where you will be treated with more respect.
Sewing-R-Us, having noticed a decline in fabric shops, this one is how they should be. Like a TARDIS, much bigger on the inside, it's just packed with fabrics, haberdashery, and all things sewing if that's different from haberdashery. Visit and be amazed......
This is why people shop online these days. Spectacularly grumpy & unhelpful staff made the experience a very miserable one
